Food is delicious and always fresh, service is swift, staff is always so professional and friendly, parking lot is usually full but lots of places to park on street, love seeing so many familiar faces (and DOGS!) on a regular basis and we are so grateful to have this amazing KOSHER eatery in our neighborhood! Muriel’s ROCKS!*We really hope is that the menu (and hours) continue to expand.

Dietary restrictions: We love having this convenient and fantastic Hop Shop/Book Store/Kosher eatery combo in our neighborhood. It is the coolest place EVER! Kosher anything is hard to come by in this town and to have a place that serves food as delicious as Muriel’s is a TRUE find!

We’ve been to Muriel’s three times and our orders took over an hour each time. Regardless of what we ordered, last time was a bagel, this time was a tuna melt, it took over an hour regardless. We were understanding the first time because it was a little busy and new businesses take a bit to get the kinks out, but the second and third time were during weekday odd hours when the place was much calmer. Today I got a refund because they said it still wasn’t ready 65 minutes after putting in the order. We were so excited for Muriel’s to open. It’s a beautiful little spot in a great neighborhood that we were eager to support. We gave plenty of chances but unfortunately will not be returning.

I've been in here a couple of times and both times kinda sucked. The second time I was told I had to order online by a gal at the front desk, I order a basic bagel with cream cheese though the website. After waiting about 7 minutes I saw there was a counter in the corner where people were placing orders and picking up I went to the counter and asked about how much longer on my order I was told probably 10 to 15 more minutes. It should not take 20 + minutes to make a bagel with cream cheese. If the lady had just pointed me to the counter in the first place I could have asked how long the wait but instead I was told I could only order online. Seems very unorganized. Also don't get me started on the fact that they are charging 18.50 for a damn bagel with lox, that's all. no chips or drink with that just the sandwich. that's absolutely ridiculous. All that being said I will most likely not be returning till they fix the outrageous prices and get a better system in place for ordering.

The google reviews are correct, they cannot toast a bagel without burning it. Even when I asked for lightly toasted they burnt it. I was hungry so I didn’t ask for them to fix it, but I read that they will. That said, they are very fresh and don’t need to be toasted.Service is very friendly, but very disjointed… couldn’t find a menu, needed help on the ordering machine… that type of stuff. It wasn’t very busy and it was about 45 min after opening so there really wasn’t a reason for them to be so disorganized. The food was fine. There aren’t many bagel choices - very basic and only 2 cream cheeses (1 is plain).I would go many other places before going here again, but I wouldn’t say no to trying some other menu items. Maybe today was an off day?

There was an issue with the automated ordering system at the restaurant, after we had been waiting for 20 minutes. There was a long line of ppl that formed after they informed everyone of the issue. At the window they said we could get a refund, or wait 20-25 minutes. So we choose to wait. They bring out half of the order in about 20 minutes. 20+ minutes later I walked back up to the window and asked about the rest of our food. Turns out they brought it out briefly, and quickly announced it, and brought it back. By the time I got it, everything was basically cold. For our trouble, they gave us an extra sandwich that was made by accident. Nearly an hour and a half of waiting, plus they needed us to be on top of things. All in all, the food was actually decent, and I imagine if hot would have been good. I'm hopeful that ordering not in store or not using the system may yield different results. I believe they are trying their best to service customers, but their organizational skills and execution are clearly lacking.

We've gotten food while having a beer at Chuck's, and it was good. But limited hours so we usually only have whatever food truck is there. Stopped by for a bagel with cream cheese. It was definitely overbaked. The sesame seeds were close to burnt which makes them bitter. Also, to people saying "real Jewish bagels are chewy", yes but growing up eating bagels from some of the best bagel places in NYC, I can tell you it should not be an exercise for your jaw. I got half a dozen everything bagels to go and sadly they were in the same condition. Burnt on the bottom for sure and overbaked. Making perfect bagels is not easy, even for professionals. But if you burn a batch you have to consider not selling them. Sucks with the cost of everything going up these days, but eventually people will stop buying them if it's going to be hit or miss. I really want them to succeed in that spot, but their bagel making needs to improve.

Jewish style bagels are naturally more crunchy on the exterior. This may be different than what many are used to. The bagels taste fresh, but the prices are a bit steep for the size. Overall a great addition to the neighborhood

I had a great bagel & cream cheese for 5$ - one of the best I've had in Seattle. Super cool location, overall I'm a big fan. However, what I originally wanted was the bagel, cream cheese, & lox but it is 18.50$ pre tax & tip! I thought it was a typo at first.I look forward to returning and trying their other reasonably priced offerings. But at 18.50$, I'll be looking elsewhere for my bagel & lox fix.

Good flavor to the bagels, however the bagels were a little overbaked. Excellent customer service. Unique location - inside a bookstore and a coffee shop.Challah was a bit dry.I will be back.

I was excited to try this place so we ordered 2 lox & bagels to sit outside. Our order came to $50 with tip! It was good, but not $50 good. Super overpriced. Also it took 25 minutes and our order was wrong. I think the concept is good but the price and execution are poor.

Enjoy having this place in the neighborhood! We've enjoyed the food every single time. However... Dining in is rarely a good experience. The employee at the counter never really seems to know what's going on with the food (unaware of what's out of stock, isn't able to answer questions about the menu). We wait for food for at least 20 minutes every time (even when we just want some untoasted bagels and cream cheese, and even mid-morning during the week). The coffee is great, and the barista is a really nice. For food, plan to order ahead so you don't get hangry while waiting!

Supported the Kickstarter for this place and came to pick up our order of 6 everything bagels and 6 sesame bagels with cream cheese first thing on a Sunday morning. Waited fifteen minutes without being acknowledged and got a bag with plain bagels and everything bagels, and no cream cheese. Waiting now with like 5 people as nobody acknowledges us and saw one woman try to order food to go who was told it would be an hour wait, so she left. Apparently they had an issue with their stove today.Every small business goes through growing pains and this one seems to be no exception. I write this so that others visiting can manage their expectations and hopefully give them some space and grace to develop. Ideally as time goes on they'll smoothe things out and be able to provide better service going forward. We're big fans of Zylberchstein's and are grateful this place has brought delicious bagels to the south end.

Amazing food! Amazing and friendly service. Wish they were open Monday and Tuesday as we wanted more!
