Food was decent , cocktails were average, service was very slow and worst of all parking situation was horrible!
I used to love Nirmal’s — it was once the only place around offering truly authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. Back in 2021–2022, the food was flavorful and genuine, and I looked forward to every visit. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed in the past year.
My recent dine-in experience was disappointing, and the to-go order I tried recently was even worse. The food no longer feels authentic or well-prepared. The vegetable kofta curry was watery and bland, and the koftas themselves tasted like they were fried in old oil. The misal — once one of my favorites — came without any farsan topping and tasted like a reheated frozen version.
It’s sad to write this negative review for a place I used to recommend so highly. I really hope the restaurant brings back its original authenticity and attention to flavor. If they do, I’d be happy to give them another chance.

Not sure what changed with the restaurant but it not like a few years ago or even a couple of years ago. All 3 items were below average in taste, quantity, and presentation. Service was extremely POOR. It took them 45 mins or more to get the food even though not very busy.
First time and possibly not again. The space is nice but the food tasted okay. We were hoping for piping hot Jalebis but it tasted oily.

Good chicken tandoori, yellow daal and chickoo ice cream. Bad pav bhaji.

Beautiful restaurant with a warm, calming ambiance—quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation. Beautiful high ceilings and brick walls. Two servers helped us, and our main server in a cheetah cardigan was especially thoughtful and welcoming (I did not catch a name, I apologize), offering to answer any questions and truly elevating the experience.
The owner personally checked in with every table with a warm smile. The food was comforting and delicious, and thoughtful touches—like birthday candles for a table celebrating, attentive check-ins, and the beautiful design—made the entire space feel warm and loving. Kids and dogs are welcome.
As we were leaving, we were genuinely happy, and the owner waved to us from inside—like we had been coming here for years. I would absolutely return.

The thali was really nice — fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Definitely enjoyed the meal and would come back again!

Best Indian food in town! Dilip, the main server, is a wonderful human being and great professional. Thanks Dilip!

Warm, friendly staff and quick service made for a pleasant experience. The high ceilings give the place an open, spacious feel. The food is mildly spiced and very approachable, especially for those trying Indian food for the first time

Food was all presented well and tasted even better. We were recommended a fish curry and it was some of the best fish we have had.

Had an excellent dining experience at Nirmal’s today. The food was outstanding, we especially loved the Bharvan Simla Mirch, paired perfectly with garlic naan, and the rasmalai at the end was the perfect sweet finish.
A special shout-out to our server Dilip, who did a fantastic job. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. Great food and great service, we’ll definitely be back!
