The North Star is great. I come here almost every weekend. You get seated pretty quick even if there’s a bit of a weight. The staff is very friendly and personable. Great menu and the food comes out fast!

Definitely reccomend this place for a casual breakfast spot!

A bog standard greasy diner with really high prices. Maybe the best hash browns I've ever eaten but everything else was really weak for the cost. The corned beef was just bad. Chill service, however.

Chinese restaurant decor, cocktail bar counter, a hundred pre-filled water bottles sitting around, TV with a Let's Play of Mario Sunshine on it, wall of astronaut pictures, jam packed with families on a weekend morning it's clear who this place caters to but the incredibly confusing vibes make it hard to determine who North Star Diner is *supposed* to be *for*.

Most families were ordering the Mexican breakfast items, maybe that's a solid hint towards what they do well. Perhaps next time, but likely not.

Food made us sick and was overall just not great quality. Half of my order was wrong (wrong kind of gravy and kind of eggs). Super loud from the karaoke bar next door which wasn't a big deal to us, but good to know about if you're planning a visit.
Service was alright though, despite there only being one waitress she was top of things

This is my favorite place for breakfast. The chilaquiles and French toast are my wife's and my favorites. This place is worth waiting for. Delicious coffee and drinks. And the lounge is great too! We sang karaoke and enjoyed drinks on the weekends. The service has always been great too.

If you love dives and good solid food, this is your stop!
The staff are great, I'm going to have to move soon after 7 years in the area and I'll still come back for their huevos!

Delightful and friendly staff. Had the drive thru burger, excellent for the price. Their house ranch is great.

Someone wrote that this place is family friendly, which led us to check it out at 5 pm on a Saturday. It might work for older kids, but there's no stroller access and the music was LOUD. Not good for little kids at least at that time of day!

Visiting Seattle as a solo female traveler from Southern Oregon and I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast I had at the North Star Diner. It’s nearby my hotel and very affordable compared to other breakfast spots in this area ($31 for my meal and two cappuccinos - I paid about the same for Taco Bell the night before).

Parking was intimidating but I managed to score a spot right across the street - I imagine it’s harder on the weekends but for a Monday, it was easier than expected.

The server was amazing and checked in with me about my cappuccino and food, both of which were fantastic. I got the Little Dipper and everything was cooked to perfection and my cappuccino was very well balanced (normally I have to add sugar and I didn’t with this one).

I love the vibe of the diner and I loved that they played early 2000s/2010s pop punk - it made my breakfast even more enjoyable. It was very clean and I would 100% come back on my next trip to Seattle.

Parking: There’s free street parking and I imagine on the weekend it would be more difficult to find parking, but for a Monday morning, it was incredibly easy and I managed to snag a spot right across the street.

Really bad. Prices are brutal for how low quality the ingredients are. Think Sodexo and Sysco.
