We stopped in and tried a variety of items. The Pumpkin Maple Donut, the Strawberry Donut, and Lemon Bar were not good at all. I’m not even sure how to describe it, all had a horrible flavor. We took one bite and threw away. We also tried the Banana Coconut Cupcake, favorite out of everything but wasn’t anything special. Had decent flavor but was a bit dry. The Raspberry Crumble Bar was also decent but overall was too sweet and left an acid burn? in both of our mouths. Not the best experience but also not the worse either.

Best cake I’ve ever tried! Full of flavor, with just the right hint of cinnamon. The cream cheese frosting was silky smooth. Tastes homemade in the best way.

The food is pretty good here— a bit pricey but as someone who can’t tolerate gluten it used to be worth it. I have been eating here since 2019. I love the cheese danish, the eclair & the quiche the most. Unfortunately the service here currently is bad. The last several times I’ve tried to order from here either no one comes out from the back for up to 5+ minutes, they don’t acknowledge me as a guest, or are blatantly rude. The most recent time I tried to order from here will be my last. I went in on 10/5 in the early afternoon and there was an employee behind the counter who did not acknowledge me when I entered. They were just looking at the iPad but not entering anything into it. The person who was in front of me in line had taken a seat as I was walking in so it seemed the transaction was complete. After a minute or so I politely asked “are you ready to take my order?”. They refused to take my order and said “I’m in the middle of something!”. A few minutes later a customer came out from the bathroom and the employee asked them what they wanted. The customer said “I’m not ready yet” and asked me to order first. The employee said “No. I already entered in what he (pointing to the person who sat down) wanted so you need to order first” but she wasn’t ready and needed to talk to the person she was with. After letting this go on for another couple minutes I decided to leave. It’s unfortunate because they used to have 2 really incredible staff members that seem to no longer work there, but I don’t want to spend decent money somewhere I don’t feel respected.

I had their eclair and it was soggy and very hard. Was very disappointed. Also, it smelled kind of nasty in there, and the attendant was not at the desk. I feel kind of nauseous now.

I stopped into the Capitol Hill store last Tuesday (9/23) to order a cake for my partner’s (who has celiac disease) birthday to be picked up Saturday (9/27) an 8 inch red velvet cake.

I honestly am pretty disappointed in how the cake came out. When I received it I immediately thought that it didn’t look like red velvet cake at all, and I’d see red velvet cake in the shop before that looked completely different. I asked the person working at the time of pickup and they confirmed that it was red velvet.

I took the cake home and served it just a few hours later. It was hard and very dry. we felt that it had been made too long, maybe even days before and just kept in their fridge. The top layer of frosting was so dry it cracked apart as we cut it.

We’ve had many, many gluten free/vegan cakes before and none of them were like this. On top of that the cake was certainly not red velvet and tasted nothing like red velvet. Of the 8 people I served the cake to, all of them agreed that it tasted nothing like red velvet. I’m upset considering this was quite an expensive cake for the size.

On top of all this, the worker in the store said I “probably couldn’t get a refund because” I “ordered in store and non online” has anyone ever heard of that?? Lastly I brought up the red velvet not being that and described it to the person working and they said “yeah that’s the red velvet, it’s just how we make it” so, I guess you can’t trust that the flavor your order is what you’re going to get here, and they don’t care what you think.

I ordered cupcakes from here for my wedding for my gluten free and dairy free guests. I did this months in advance to ensure my friend could easily come in the day of the wedding and grab the order. I come to find out, when my friend went to pick up the order, they never prepared it. Apparently the staff working that day didn’t have any sense of urgency or understanding of how this was a big problem. After begging them to figure something out they put together a box of cake slices and cupcakes, whatever was left from the day.

I reached out via email to figure out what happened, but never heard back. This is completely unacceptable, save your money and go elsewhere.

Was really excited about this place since I’m celiac. It has now happened twice where I showed up on a weekend (around 2pm) during open hours and the store was closed with a note saying they’d be back. I totally get needing a break or being understaffed but it happened both times I tried to go, which I feel like especially on the weekends it would be nice if it was open when it said it would be. I ended up waiting and when I did go in the employee was sitting on her phone and seemed super disinterested. The donut I got was really good but the eclair was pretty dry and flavorless. Overall not a terrible experience but definitely some things that can be improved.

Great little GF bakery. You have to have the tiramisu. The space is small with little seating, but the food is great.

Customer service was not very satisfactory, whomever answered the phone was incredibly rude and did not want to clearly make any money. I called simply to request a cake and got told that there was no bakers nor inventory. Do not recommend.

We were celebrating a birthday and had a family member in town who was gluten free. After getting some local recommendations, we decided to get a carrot cake from Nuflours. The customer service on the phone and in person were very helpful. Everyone loved the delicious cake and it was barely noticeable that it was gluten free. I appreciated that they wrote a Happy Birthday message on top. I would definitely come again for gluten free options.

Cookie large but not in charge. Cookie had limited leadership potential because it lacked cookie leadership instincts. It prefers to be a medium good cookie, its comfortable in the middle, not as risky. A cookie for sensitive people.

Y'all get a menu, it's not hard. Okay coffee but pretty good baked stuffs for it being gluten free. Also add a place for sugar and cream to add to your coffee.

I ordered a cake for pickup and when I went to pickup the cake (during the stated open hours) they were closed. No answer by phone or email and no refund. Very disappointed, went to a birthday with no cake.
