This brewery harbors the coziest of vibes, and the fact that the beer is delightful (I love the West Coast IPA) and the servers a joy to interact with, only serves to make the whole experience all the better. If you're a fan of snuggling up to a book and reading with a brew in hand, much like I am, and savor a warm inviting environment, I cannot recommend this spot enough. :)

Hosted a small birthday party here and it was a great time! When I called, they were really communicative, concise, and friendly. Even put a hold on my calendar. I really like that they have multiple wines on the menu as a non- beer drinker. All their customers were laid back and friendly. Not too many dogs which is a plus for me given I am allergic and the 1-2 dogs I saw were on a leash (thank goodness!). I wish parking was easier, but that’s a struggle for any business [or home] nearby. Thanks for a great time, for being our now brewery of choice, and see you next time!

Great brewery! Awesome location with a lot of other restaurants and breweries near it. Really cool setup with a nice patio. Loved the Pilsner and can’t wait to go back and try the other beers as well. It was dog friendly as well, so that was very helpful for our group.

Had the Czech Pilsner and it did not disappoint. Enjoyed the vibe, plenty of seating and a lot their tables have chairs with backs (for you fellow millennials).
Beer was flavorful and a must stop.

I wish I had photos to include but I don’t. Last Friday evening we held a pre-wedding celebration in the NEW private space at Obec brewing. I cannot say enough about our experience. We were close 100 strong enjoying the great beer, friendship and love in this amazing space. Wayne and Stacy were amazing hosts at this great Ballard brewery; if you need a place for a private party, we cannot recommend this enough. Well….the beer gets great accolades also! (Vinyl night on Thursdays is also great….as is the outdoor space in front of the brewery)

Great local brewery. Off the beaten path and low key, but worth the journey. 10/10 reccomend the English Bitter; not many breweries make English style ale. Has a wonderful small, neighborhood brewery vibe to it. Vinyl nights on Thursday night. If you're looking for a chill evening with some good brews or an authentic Seattle experience, look no further.

Last minute needed a place to host a moving away party. Not only did Obec have the outdoor space to have ~30 ppl come and hang out, but they only had a drink minimum of $350. Pretty much every other brewery charged $1000+ for things ranging from a whole event space and private pour person (excessive for what I needed) to reserving 6 picnic benches (at that point I could have just gone to the park).
The beer was crisp and tasty, and my non-alcohol drinking friends raved about the shrub that was available. Highly recommend for casual get-togethers, or if you’re just seeking a yummy drink

Great brewery with an awesome Czech Pilsner! With competition as fierce as it is in Ballard, they can undoubtedly be a great place to stop in for an authentically bitter Czech Pils.
It's a great place to sit, chill, and have a pint. Make sure to ask Devin for his recommendation according to your taste!! The English Bitter was delicious! I'll be back again soon!
