There will never be another. Thanks for the deliciousness and the memories. God bless you. God bless West Seattle.

Way too addicting!! Truly good flavors, traditional baked goods made with authentic love & passion (yes, it comes through their quality and flavors). My new favorites; apricot thumb print cookies and the apple turnover!! That apple turnover pairs sooooo well with Didier-Ducos L'Albutien Brut Champagne from fatcork (cave located on lower Queen Anne)!!! Seriously the best small (batch) bakery I've found in years! They have limited hours so plan ahead. It's worth the wait (and miles if you're walking).

Friday Apple sauce donuts are a weekly tradition. Cinnamon crumb donuts a close second. Great prices and friendly staff!!

The Original Bakery is that quintessential neighborhood coffee & donuts spot to stop by before a stroll (or in my case) run in Lincoln Park. I always get the glazed donut because it’s huge and fluffy with that sugary crust that doesn’t disappoint. The sprinkle donut is a fave for the kids. The staff are so friendly. I went there this morning and was so impressed with their kindness. Definitely recommend this spot.

Hands-down the best apple fritters I've ever had. Very solid all-around bakery. Recommend coming early in the day if you have a particular pastry in mind because they don't last long!

Tasted a bit stale and didnt think they were worth the price. The bismark and maple were overly sweet and my husband and I couldnt finish them

Best donuts in town!! A wide variety of options of pastries and donuts. This place is my GO TO to satisfy my donut cravings. I do wish there were some tables or a bench outside to sit and eat at. I discovered this place after COVID so I'm not sure if it was ever a sit down place. d

Piece of pecan shell in my macaroon. Not pleasant to bite that! Showed it to the lady inside. She could not have cared less. Pastries were good, service... lacking. Also cashless. In a town that is all about equity, I don't understand how that is legal.

Times have changed COVID19 and prices have gone up a bit for those complaining on other reviews since we haven't been under normal circumstances in over 2 years and won't be for a very long time, still going forward. I bet those of you complaining about the rising costs of these donuts are the same people who spend $9 a day on Starbucks coffee drinks $10 if you tip at least a $1 per drink which I'm sure most of you don't. Seattle is an expensive place to live, starting with a dumpy 2 bed home going at least $500,000 on up and that's for a pure dump if you wanna own a home and renting an apartment or a rental house starts at what $2,000 a month on up. Talk about an expensive donut, go try "General Porpoise" donuts, just google those donuts and go try them, I think $8 $10 a donut and yes good the one time I tried them but a bit pricy for me. TOP POT donuts are stale and aren't even made fresh on location but mass produced and delivered I've heard. Lucky Donuts in Burien just south of West Seattle was another go to for me but seems they've gone cheap and to hell the past 2 years cutting corners hardly any filling in their chocolate custard bismark donuts and the maple bar there now barely has a swipe of maple on the donuts and yes I notice. Hard times during the pandemic but going completely 1/2 a** just cheap so can't recommend them any longer. Never cut corners by going cheap but go ahead and up your price some if needed is better than losing a loyal customer who notices the loss in quality. We are in an expensive area, what do you people expect, seems the world for practically nothing. This review is from a person who absolutely loves a good donut. Don't cry and complain over the cost of this old man Burnie's I think his name is of the original bakery donuts who's been making his donuts longer than most of ya have been alive. Almost daily he's at this bakery while most of ya are still in your beds asleep just so he can have your donuts ready for you by the time you wake up and he's seen costs go up and up over the years just trying to survive his own self. I'm sure he's not always delighted to wake up during the night to go deal with donuts or mad and sneezing in your donuts as he makes them. I think it's wonderful the place is walk up service and is handing the orders out a door to the opposite side of the walk up window where they now take orders. Must you really go sit down and breathe your germs all over the people who are forced to work during these conditions for a living to take care of themselves and possibly family and risk their lives around your exhaled germs that you just want to breathe all over as you eat your donut and drink your coffee drink? I know the pandemic just isn't real to some of you unless it hits you personally or kills one of your loved ones and even then some of you still don't believe it's real. Can't think beyond your own selfish self even for a moment or the possible cost of another life. It's not just killing old or unhealthy people. Some it's barely a cold while it kills plenty others. Now we will soon have Monkeypox that will be the rampant that you can get by breathing in air of an infected person. I love The Original Bakery and think it's a great thing setup of walk up service which they can obviously sale donuts and coffee drinks all the same without having to add extra work of dealing with all the different dining costumers as well as much less dishes to have to wash which some of you probably don't even tip when you pay as you place your orders. This way they don't have to put up with you or the dirty dish you create or wait for you to leave the place. Good for they younger worker who was wearing a black mask and handed me my box of donuts on arrival that I called in and placed an order the other day. THE ORIGINAL BAKERY is The absolute best!! I think you guys are doing an amazing job given the current never ending circumstances we are all in.

Before the pandemic they make the BEST mini pizzas. Hopefully they return soon. But you can still get my second favorite: the Bismarck. The chocolate donut with whipped cream center. All their baked goods are fresh and delicious!

My favorite bakery! Every item on the menu is delicious and the owners are so friendly. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I love the donuts, the pastries, the soda, and the hot chocolate with whipped cream.

Please come here and say hello to Jeff and Spenser! Such great people. My favorite. They have a variety of baked goods to choose from and Spenser makes a great almond spice latte that I'm now obsessed with. I come by occasionally to grab donuts for my office when we've had a crazy week. It's always so yummy and the staff loves it!

I returned to TOB earlier this week to find that the inside area closed, prices way up, and portions down. A great part of the charm was sitting down out of the cold, having a cup of coffee, a fresh pastry at an affordable price and chatting with whomever happened to be seated nearby. Now, you order through plexiglass glass to a masked teenager who doesn't know the difference between an old fashioned and a cake doughnut (they are different), and stand outside waiting for a box to be handed to you. Price wise the baked goods are now more than double Top Pot, and, smaller in size. In my opinion, not worth the expense, the "experience" has been degraded, nor worth the drive all the way out there, sorry to report.

Always enjoy coming here for their donuts. The apple fritter is fantastic, and our family also enjoys the apple sauce cake donut that they serve on Fridays
