The bartender was rude. Usually, when you enter a bar or restaurant, the bar seats are open unless they are taken. Almost all of the bar chairs were open, so I sat at one of them, and it seemed like I offended the bartender by doing so. I also called earlier before going in, and they told me the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM. Because of that, I arrived at 9:50 PM since I was a bit hungry. However, the bartender said the kitchen was already closed, so no food was available. I didn’t eat there, nor did I drink anything. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Thanks.

Such a favorite cocktail bar. The holiday menu is out of this world. The decorations are so thought out and creative. The atmosphere is excellent and the service attentive. Will definitely go back to try the next seasonal menu!

What are we doing here people?!! This bar has one of the most engaging owners. A person who loves the community and the cocktails made with care. Keep in mind I went on a boring Tuesday night and still felt the energy. A rich environment that has been curated with thought and purpose. If you love what your area has to offer. Then go to a bar that makes people from out of town truly understand what west Seattle is all about. Tanner is a true representation of the neighborhood.

I attended the cocktail 101 class with Tanner and it was amazing! Tanner is super knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, you can tell that quality is his top priority. The class was worth every penny and I would totally visit Otter on the Rocks again!!

amazing drinks and even better service! i can’t speak to the food, but i had the let’s see and the white sand beach and both were delicious. the gentleman behind the bar and the owner were also so friendly and kind, and gave us recommendations for our visit to Seattle. definitely come in here for a drink, you’ll have a fantastic time!
This bar is great! Sat at the bar and got to chat with the owner while watching him make everyone's drinks. Great cocktails - you can tell that they have spent time on perfecting each recipe. Had dinner before coming, so I didn't order food, but the pizzas smelled really good! Chill vibe, good music that you don't have to yell over, and the seating is spaced really nicely.

We attended the Cocktail 101 class on Saturday! It was the perfect way to get ourselves into the world of cocktails. Tanner is very very friendly and was so patiently answering all our questions. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about cocktail making / mixology in general. For folks who already attended the 101 class, Tanner is also planning to start an advanced class very soon!
