We loved the place. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and helpful. We were there in the early afternoon so not too many people but the music was great. I'd say it is lively at peak times. We will definitely be returning.

this place has potential so it’s unfortunate they don’t know how to run a business. truly. I used to be a take out regular until they cut their portions in literal HALF for the same price. I just paid almost $30 for not even 10 pieces of Suya. The full order of Jollof is now the same size and price as their side order. I’m not even kidding. They even changed their reward system it used to be 50% off every 150 points now it’s a measly $5 off every 200 points LOL zero incentive for people to keep coming back. they obviously don’t care about customer retention so needless to say I will also not be coming back here. For the value It’s no longer worth it. But good luck to them truly

The food was just fine but the service really missed the mark. Maybe stick to take out with this place.

It was my first experience trying African food and I love it! Delicious comfort food on spice side (peppered whole fish is the best fish I’ve ever tried).
We had some issues with the order and service, but I am ready to forget those issues since the food was that good. Hopefully, Pioneer Square will recover overall, so visiting PDJ will be even more pleasant

I have hardly been able to make an order online from the website. The website never works for that in recent times. I thought it was my phone or laptop. I tried different devices, but to no avail. One has to use Uber eats and other platforms. I don't know where to place this, could it be negligence or a deliberate act.

My first time in Seattle WA and I decided to try this Nigerian restaurant I found on Google. Honestly, it was worth every bit of my time and effort!
The food was full of flavor the moimoi was perfectly spiced, the goat meat and suya was tender and soft, the fried rice were tasty and the plantain was just right. Every bite tasted authentic and felt like home cooked goodness with a gourmet touch.
I’m definitely going back. This place is a gem!

This is the first time ever I have felt this upset in my life by a food experience.

The Peppered goat (Asun) was extremely DRY and HARD, it was harder than a rock and completely inedible. I didn’t even know it was possible for goat to take that form. I am absolutely shocked I was served this item.

The Egusi soup was extremely oily (I mixed it plenty and it still separated) and lacked any notable flavor. It just didn’t taste as it should.

The jollof rice with chicken was the only item I was able to eat more than a few spoons of and that is because of the rice however the chicken was so dry and tasted like it had been cooked hours ago or even in previous days.

I cannot recommend any of these items. I felt I was served old or reheated food, nothing tasted fresh or even made to order. I am extremely upset with this experience and still shocked something like this is acceptable. Biggest waste of money I have felt in a long time.

I recently visited this Nigerian restaurant and overall had a good experience, though there were a few bumps along the way. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the music set a really nice vibe that made the evening enjoyable. The food itself was very good…full of flavor and definitely worth coming back for.

That said, the service was a bit confusing. The restaurant uses a self-service system, but it seemed to be missing some options that should have been available. We briefly spoke to a server, but they disappeared after a quick exchange, leaving us unsure of how to proceed. Eventually, I believe it was the bartender who ended up taking our order, and they were very kind and helpful, which I appreciated.

So while the start of the experience felt a little disorganized, the food and the overall atmosphere made up for it. With a few improvements to the service and ordering process, this place could be excellent.

This was my husband and my first time eating Nigerian food and we were not impressed. We ordered the okra soup with beef and fufu, Nigerian fried rice, and meat patties. All of the food was lukewarm. The meat patties were dry, the crust was too thick and the meat had no flavor, the beef in the okra soup was hard and dried out, and although I did like the Nigerian fried rice, the plantain that came with it was dried out and flavorless. Once our food was bright to us we were not checked on at all. I put our empty water carafe at the edge of the table in hopes of a refill but that didn’t happen and it wasn’t busy. Overall our experience was not horrible but it could use a lot of improvement.
