We loved the place. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and helpful. We were there in the early afternoon so not too many people but the music was great. I'd say it is lively at peak times. We will definitely be returning.
It was my first experience trying African food and I love it! Delicious comfort food on spice side (peppered whole fish is the best fish I’ve ever tried).
We had some issues with the order and service, but I am ready to forget those issues since the food was that good. Hopefully, Pioneer Square will recover overall, so visiting PDJ will be even more pleasant

I have hardly been able to make an order online from the website. The website never works for that in recent times. I thought it was my phone or laptop. I tried different devices, but to no avail. One has to use Uber eats and other platforms. I don't know where to place this, could it be negligence or a deliberate act.
