Some of the best food in Seattle. Met the new owners today and they seemed really nice. The food waa great as always. I had the Koobideh. New owner, Pooya, has already made some improvements and has plans to spruce up the place. Can't wait to see how it evolves.
Great Persian food in the U District! Enjoyed the smoked eggplant dip with flat bread. Also ordered the Ghormeh Sabzi which was delicious. Food was tasty and plentiful. Atmosphere was casual and quiet. I will definitely go back. Price was reasonable considering current economic conditions.

Shirin rice, delightful vegetarian entree. The portions are generous. Tender flavorful rice with carrots, raisins and almonds? Accompanied by a fresh salad, 3 stuffed grape leaves and a small bit of hummus.
My first, but not last visit. I want to try the skewers/kebabs, and eat an entire hummus plate.

Every time we eat here it’s consistently 5 stars. The food is so fresh and flavorful and we never skip the hummus (a must). The service is so friendly and fast, whether it’s a dinner/lunch date for us adults or a family outing, they treat you like family and make sure you are full and satisfied. Always clean inside the restaurant and such a great atmosphere with options for any diet/restrictions. Absolutely coming back again and again.

One of our absolute favorites. The kafta, okra, and lamb shank are excellent.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. We ordered hummus, which came with oil on top — but when we asked for extra olive oil, the staff told us they don’t actually have olive oil and only use regular vegetable oil. That’s misleading and concerning, especially since olive oil is an essential and healthier part of traditional hummus. Serving vegetable oil instead, without mentioning it, can be unhealthy for people with high cholesterol or dietary restrictions.
It would be much better to either use real olive oil or simply serve the dish without any oil at all. The food itself was okay, but this detail really affects the authenticity and healthiness of the meal.
