Our first time here. Excellent food and welcoming service. The dining room with a fireplace was so lovely. We will definitely be back
The food is good but not great. From the starters, the burrata and the Eggplant parmesan fries were very good. Main dishes were OK, tiramisu was fine but too heavy. The restaurant is nice but, on Saturday evening, it was full and very noisy. Service was good.
Having eaten in a few locations, Piatti can always be counted on for consistency in its food and service. The Seattle (University District) did not disappoint. We had lemon spinach ravioli, which was delicious, a bit rich, but just the right texture and accents. The service was excellent, our waiter was attentive. The atmosphere was a bit noisy as we were in line with the kitchen. There was a lot of chatter and camaraderie going on, which was a little distracting. There were plenty of other seating options to be had that would have been better if I had been paying attention to our line of sight. A
Moderately priced, but excellent Italian cuisine. Plan on going back, wish the lunch eggplant Parmesan was on the dinner menu.
Everything was just great. The food portions were perfect and the service was very on point
Our group of friends, for the most part has the Italian wedding soup when we gather for a quick lunch here. It is warm, delicious and comforting. Always excellent. On occasion, I have gotten the bean soup which is also very very good. They also have a an excellent warmed focaccia bread with olive oil and herbs on the side. Yummy!
Unique, italian-inspired, excellent-tasting brunch plates. Service was great. Nice quiet, comfortable morning.
I was there for lunch today and ordered the sea bass. When they started cooking it, the restaurant instantly was overflowing with a fishy smell. When the food came, the plating was perfect, however the sea bass was the worst I ever had. Thankfully it was not fishy tasting but it did taste like cheap cooking oils and nothing else. The sauce and veggies were 5 stars but the sea bass, I could barely stomach it. The service was slow, they never came to check on us and never asked how the food was. First and very last time I will be dining there.

the food was good but the amount is really small
I had a simple meal; Cesar salad and 1/2 a glass of wine. The dressing on the salad was pretty flavorless. I ordered the anchovies on the side (there was a 5% surcharge for the on-the-side - really!). I was not offered lemon or pepper for my salad.
I'm glad I asked about the 1/2 glass of wine and that it was available (I just didn't want a full glass at lunch).
I won't return. It wasn't horrible but I'm sure that the pasta & company store around the corner would provide a more flavourful experience so why waste my time. Very mediocre.

Service was excellent. Chicken was small and extremely dry. When bill came there was a surprise service charge.

Good food, nice service. But the 5% "service charge" is simply a dishonest way to raise prices.

We came in for lunch. Decided that my other half her stomach wasnt feeling as well as she would have liked. Unfortunately I had ordered a soft drink before we decided to not stay.. received the bill for 1 soft drink to the tune of $7.00. Seems a bit extreme regardless of our stay or not.. i understand they have to make a profit but this seems a bit over the top by 50%
Staff is very polite. 5 stars. Food - 4 star.
Just an average "fancy" Italian food chain akin to Macaroni Grill or Maggiano's. The atmosphere is quite nice. It feels upscale, modern, and not stuffy. There is plenty of room between tables and it wasn't too loud (at least for Sunday brunch when we went). The service was fine. Our waiter tried hard, and I understand the challenges of serving a 12 top with two toddlers. Bravo in that regard. However, the food is not great. Everything needs more flavor and less grease. The Italian sausage is flavorless without a hint of spice. The Sicilian scramble needs more potato, more egg, and less meat. It is also just a bowl of grease at the bottom. Even the Italian wedding soup has an oil slick on top of it. The flatbread is average. The sauces is pretty bland and grease coats the top layer of cheese. Ultimately, the food is way overpriced for the quality that is turned out of the kitchen. I also take issue with the 5% surcharge on top of everything. Just pay the employees a living wage and price your food at a level that allows this to happen. Don't hide it in the fine print.
Parking: Parking is just in the mall lot, which is frequently a challenge. The mall is very busy.
Kid-friendliness: We had two toddlers. Kid menus are offered with crayons. Our toddlers sat in high chairs that were provided. Everything was clean and I actually admire how well this place is suited for children.
