Just oof.

Alright, so the pics looked good. We ordered a piece banana cream pie and one of cookies and cream. The banana cream was served as a liquid pile of slop. We returned it. The cookies and cream was delivered as a peanut butter and cream. Which in it's defense was structurally sound, and adequate. But still a little pricey. But technically not what I ordered. Ate it anyway. Mistakes happen.

Why an individual would bother to serve that banana pile of disappointment boggles the mind. But dude was nice about it.

Anyway, a well prepared piece was okay. But expensive. Maybe try elsewhere.

Like August’s review below I too ordered the cookies and cream pie tonight and am so confused by it - it used to be a white pie with cookie chunks in it but I too received a nondescript tasting brown pie (it just tastes
like whipped cream) with chocolate sauce and cookies thrown on top. This is totally different than the cookies and cream slices I have had in the past from here and is really disappointing for the price. Not sure what’s going on at this place, the counter they prepared it on also was pretty dirty

Disappointed to receive the incorrect slice. Ordered the cookies and creme and received some sort of creme pie with chocolate syrup and some cookie toppings. While the dry topping might've matched I crossed referenced to what the photo listed of the cookies and creme pie looked like, and it was very different. There was no whipped cream, idk if chocolate syrup was a topping for it, and the creme pie had no cookie in it. My guess was a chocolate pie? Whatever it was, it's disappointing- especially considering the price point.

First, it is difficult to find the entrance & it is not clearly marked. Ordered a slice of beef pie and a slice of the chicken. The chicken pie was unrecognizable as pie. It was just a mound of crumbled crust with chicken gravy mush. The crust was good—but it ends there. The beef pie was worse—it lacked flavor and the beef chunks were the size of the boxed carrots and peas. The server was friendly and did provide plenty of attention. However, despite the friendly conversation, we will not be coming back.

Expensive mid pie, cookies and cream pie wasn’t stored in fridge when I got a slice, really upset my stomach, $15 for a slice ouch

First time customer. I was looking for a chicken pot pie. Google brought up Pie bar. When I got there, the guy behind the counter seemed really out of it. Pies were not labeled. Guy behind counter took a bite — yes a real bite! — out of the pie to confirm it was chicken pot pie and then sold it to me for $40. I was shocked but needed the pie and was short of time. Paid $40 and left with a pie unboxed — guy said they didn’t have boxes for “to go” orders. Brought the pie home and family agreed it was awful. We laughed about the whole experience and will not go back. If you purchase by the slice the slices are $15. That makes a $40 unsliced pie $90. I took a photo of the pie after the guy scooped out a forkful to taste it. I should have at least received a $5.00 discount, as he ate part of the pie.

This Pie Bar is completely unrelated to the one in Capitol Hill. Different ownership and products. The Cap Hill location is a great bar with a great owner and staff.

Confusing with so many doors so close to one another, and a schload of signage, but... you walk around the corner and enter from 74th St..
Tight little spaces, never saw a display case, as both Ballard and Cap Hill offered.
Limited selection of pie, IMHO, same for house cocktails. With the exception of two Savory Pot Pies, it seemed like a sugar contest.
Banana cream pie might've been a no-bake cream pie w/ banana liqueur for all I know. The pre-bake crust added some salt content and a bit of chewy texture.
My guess is that one pre-bake crust gets crumbled to garnish the 'Pie-Tini' slate of surgary cocktails. Wifey's Key Lime Pie-Tini was a tad sharp but believable. Both were crafted by another pleasant staff member on her 2nd day... My Pumpkin Pie-Tini ended up as a perfect Egg-Nog jobber. I am a pie officionado, and like all 3 in particular. They all needed work except mine, which was either a total bust or EggNog by mistake.
FWIW, I like Egg Nog, had a no doubt rum spirit flavor. I was just expecting pumpkin. Worth noting, as an EggNog-Tini, it was perfection!!

I might give them another chance, I might not. In part due to attempting to park nearby on a Friday Night. It gets crowded as anywhere I've been.
Huge party vibe, loads of younger folk hanging about. I prefer the Cap Hill outlet by ten yards.

This place is not the place for my family and our beliefs. There is a protest out front. They are not paying the employees wages and they are wanting to pay under the table.

Owner not employees. Expired product.

I loved going to the Ballard location, and was really excited to see a new location open in Phinney. However the overall quality of the pies and drinks has been much worse at this location. Last time, they also charged our credit card a higher price than what they verbally stated it to be. It's a bummer, but I'll be looking elsewhere for dessert in the future and can't recommend it for others.

I’ve never seen someone who was so obviously and extremely wasted at work before. The server could barely string a sentence together but blamed the slow service and bad drinks on the trainee. This despite us watching her pour alcohol off the top of our drinks to have herself before she served (now about 80% of) our drinks.
