This Pie Bar is completely unrelated to the one in Capitol Hill. Different ownership and products. The Cap Hill location is a great bar with a great owner and staff.
Confusing with so many doors so close to one another, and a schload of signage, but... you walk around the corner and enter from 74th St..
Tight little spaces, never saw a display case, as both Ballard and Cap Hill offered.
Limited selection of pie, IMHO, same for house cocktails. With the exception of two Savory Pot Pies, it seemed like a sugar contest.
Banana cream pie might've been a no-bake cream pie w/ banana liqueur for all I know. The pre-bake crust added some salt content and a bit of chewy texture.
My guess is that one pre-bake crust gets crumbled to garnish the 'Pie-Tini' slate of surgary cocktails. Wifey's Key Lime Pie-Tini was a tad sharp but believable. Both were crafted by another pleasant staff member on her 2nd day... My Pumpkin Pie-Tini ended up as a perfect Egg-Nog jobber. I am a pie officionado, and like all 3 in particular. They all needed work except mine, which was either a total bust or EggNog by mistake.
FWIW, I like Egg Nog, had a no doubt rum spirit flavor. I was just expecting pumpkin. Worth noting, as an EggNog-Tini, it was perfection!!
I might give them another chance, I might not. In part due to attempting to park nearby on a Friday Night. It gets crowded as anywhere I've been.
Huge party vibe, loads of younger folk hanging about. I prefer the Cap Hill outlet by ten yards.

This place is not the place for my family and our beliefs. There is a protest out front. They are not paying the employees wages and they are wanting to pay under the table.

Owner not employees. Expired product.
I loved going to the Ballard location, and was really excited to see a new location open in Phinney. However the overall quality of the pies and drinks has been much worse at this location. Last time, they also charged our credit card a higher price than what they verbally stated it to be. It's a bummer, but I'll be looking elsewhere for dessert in the future and can't recommend it for others.
I’ve never seen someone who was so obviously and extremely wasted at work before. The server could barely string a sentence together but blamed the slow service and bad drinks on the trainee. This despite us watching her pour alcohol off the top of our drinks to have herself before she served (now about 80% of) our drinks.

Not even going to attempt. Looked good but are you crazy? 40 dollar pie in what world be for real. These small shops don realize they would make 10x as much if they charged understandable prices but it seems like every small shop wants to charge 2-3 times as much. This isn't just about these pies but everything in this city.
For this reason im going to go to safeway and buy a whole pie probably double this size and save $30. Will it be as good? Probably not but it wont be bad and it will be worth what im paying for it.

Good atmosphere. Terrible food. Very overpriced.
I ordered a chicken pot pie (maybe the wrong choice?) and I got a reheated, undersalted pie with poorly held together crust. The salad was fine.
They had no prices on the menu and a slice of pie was $16!! Not worth it.
Service was great but thats the icing on top not a

Really wanted this to be a new go to spot for banana cream pie but it’s not. Crust was stalk, no real banana and the slice was pretty small for the hefty price. Staff was friendly but took awhile to get a take away order. Two slices of pie cost us $26 BEFORE tip.

I give this a 3 stars with a heavy heart. I LOVE pie and I've ben a regular at all of the pie bars around Seattle. That said - the Phinney location keeps burning me.
Food/Service: The last 3 times I've gone there, I've left empty handed. 1st time - they were out of the vegetarian pie (for apparently months???). 2nd time - (pie day) - They were out of all pies by 7pm. 2 hours after opening. Took me 15 minutes to get parking to be told no pie for the next 30 minutes. 3rd time - Their opening hours are 5pm not 4pm as it shows on google.
Atmosphere: I appreciate their window and albeit a bit cramped interior but getting into the building is always so sketchy. It's like a speakeasy where you have to know where to go down and around this unlit back alley area to get inside.
Also - Parking is IMPOSSIBLE

Just don’t even go. So many red flags. Had a hard time finding the front door (it’s in the back). We had gone for dinner so looking for savory options. They were out of chicken pot pie and then they were out of the side salad. The steak pie was so salty we couldn’t eat it. We paid over $50 for two slices of terrible pie and one mediocre cocktail. I hate giving a bad review but stick with the pizza place next door.
