We decided to check out Place Pigalle after not going there for years and while the space and service was great, the only thing I truly enjoyed was my cocktail and the bottle of wine that we ordered. The warm beet salad had big gobs of dijon dressing plopped all over it and was heavy handed. My husband ordered escargot for the table and it was poorly seasoned, no salt at all. Well, when your friends describe the look on your face when you taste your mussels as euphoria, I guess that says it all! Cosy (it's small, make the effort to get a reservation), the service is outstanding (thank you, Thurston) and it was simply a lovely place to catch up with friends ... none of us are local so we had a little trouble finding it, but we can now find our way back!!
I've enjoyed Place Pigalle for many years. Every visit to Seattle I enjoy lunch here. This trip I booked dinner. Wow! Everything was so extremely delicious. I enjoyed the all star favorite calamari in Dijon sauce, a new pasta dish, with local fresh pasta the server mentioned. Bravo Chef! My server was awesome! Look forward to my next Seattle trip & dinner & lunch - Place Pigalle! Oh my window table w view was frosting on the cake! Thank you!
