The ambience is excellent ..soft and a warm welcome from the Owner who is taking your order, shaking your martini. My wife had the best vodka martini in months. We shared their Caesar Salad that we ranked # 1 for the last year. Pasta dish was very good..the menu had many choices. We are wAiting to go back!
First of all, amazing service and that truly made the night and the entire experience. Staff are extremely attentive and welcoming the entire way through. There's a parking lot for later in the night (a certain timeframe which I don't recall is allocated for certain people). One of our friends had their birthday and was extremely warmed as well with a delicious cake and jolly happy birthday. We came last minute unsure where to go, but were greatly pleased.Everything was good. No, everything was fantastic. I'm not sure I can pick a favorite, will definitely be back to try more and even reorder many of the entrees, no question. I could close my eyes and point at any item knowing it'll be amazing. Portion sizes were also much larger than initially expected. We figured we'd still be hungry after and are used to smaller, but expensive plates at other restaurants. We even planned out other food options but, those weren't needed at all.
It is certainly a famous spot and I can say by the crowd that was here when I visited the place. Food is terrific and I can feel the freshness of freshly cooked tomato sauce and the ingredients. The food really feels more alive here. It is a authentic Italian/Spanish restaurant so you might want to know what you are ordering. If not sure maybe ask your waiter ?. On the ambience side, I feel the place can maybe use some more lighting.I don't think there is any curbside pickup or you can order ahead.
Fantastic menu and fantastic food. Unfortunately I'm ignorant I can't pronounce the dishes without butchering it but the food came out great and I really enjoyed the ambience. It was hotter than hell in there when we ate but it didn't get in the way of our five star dinner. Wonderful service as well. Very entertaining server.
I had really high hopes for this place, as it seemed busy, and looked really nice. Sadly, I left restrained by my daughter, and girlfriend, from voicing my disappointment. Our Old Fashions were mostly ice and melt water, the caprese consisted of a few slices of a beef steak tomato, to pieces of mozzarella the size of peach pits, and two very sad, small, wilted leaves of basil. Our entrees were unremarkable, and when we declined on dessert the "gentleman" made a remark regarding the figures of both my daughter, and girlfriend. I can't say I'll be returning anytime soon.
1 year later and I'm back. Same meal with the exact same consistency, a rare thing indeed!Smiling faces who remember your name, with wonderful ambiance & Italian food to die for.And did I mention the homemade pesto butter!Thank you for an amazing birthday dinner once again Pomodoro!
Food’s great! I love how this place gives a family restaurant feel. Everyone makes you feel at home. My husband said the tiramisu tastes like the one he had in Italy.
Excellent food for vegetarians! The pastas were delicious. Do try their spicy chilli oil with the pasta. The best tiramisu I have had. The restaurant staff and the chef are also so welcoming. Loved the experience!
Omg this restaurant was so good! I loved the easygoing reservation process, the ambiance, the service and the food! Our waiter really helped make it a great experience, joking with us, sharing a little intel on the recipe, and being attentive despite the restaurant being full. I got the linguine alle vongole and it was SO good. The clams were saltwater-fresh deliciousness and I continued pigging out long after my friends had gotten takeout boxes for their paella and manacotti. I’m a growing girl and I know what I like- this restaurant!
Parking : They have parking in the building and plenty of street parking around.Location: East lake side is little quite and I went on a rainy Friday evening.Ambiance & other details : it's nice and homely, there had information about the chef and their 3 decades of service in restaurant business.Service : Excellent & friendly service people, very helpful in bringing a birthday Tiramisu with a candle. When we couldn't eat it there and take it Togo, they packed it so well.FoodVegetarian friends of mine loved their penne pasta.Tomato creme soup is so yummy!I felt my angel hair pasta was little dry and I added habinaro sauce in to my food (self holiday expirements), lol.Bread can be warmed up, they serve it with yummy pesto sauce. So that makes it awesome.Little cozy family style Italian restaurant.

Overly priced mediocre Italian food. They didn't have garlic bread but a loaf with quality similar to Safeway with a homemade pesto butter that barely had any flavor. I ordered the penny vodka and I honestly could've made better. The staff however was kind. But really, with how expensive the plates were, I expected alot better.
How on earth does this place have high reviews?! Unless maybe they recently lost their chef? The food was somewhere between a D+ and C---mediocre at best. Bread that tastes like it was purchased from a low-end grocery store, past-their-prime bay shrimp, flavorless dishes. The place is cute and the staff are friendly. They just need someone in the kitchen who actually knows how to cook.
Food was great. It's a small family owned restaurant where everyone will serve you your food even the cook.
A cute place for a romantic date night place, I food is lovely you should try their creme brulee its amazing
