It was football game day, and the cafe was very busy. Our server was great - we felt attended to, food came within a reasonable time of ordering, and the server came back to make sure we had what we needed. Given how busy they were, this attention was not expected, but it is appreciated! The brunch menu is nice - a lot of variety. A very nice way to enjoy good food with friends before the game.

We love Portage Bay. The only problem is the loud noise and loud music makes it worse. It''s difficult to have a conversation at the table. Also, they could really clean up the bathrooms and make them nicer, they really need a remodel.

The server just dampened the entire experience this time. Bummer. I totally look forward to this brunch, at this location, but the bar wasn't met this time —having much better luck at the west Seattle location of late. Oh well. Not everybody has chemistry, but we can at least politely try, especially in the service industry. To add insult to injury, I ordered a pumpkin scone to go, and the sever packed up an old overcooked one, which I discovered at home. The mediocre experience that just kept on giving. 😂🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Amazing berry bar and strong coffee! We love coming here sunday's mornings, the service and fresh food are always worth the wait.

Started off badly with an 11am Sunday reservation not being seated until 11:40. Have been here 3x before and had great food and decent service. Not the case this past weekend. When finally seated took 15-20 min to get coffee delivered and be able to order. Menu did not have past favorites, so tried breakfast burrito, classic Benedict and biscuits and gravy. Burrito good but Benedict wasn't even average and both biscuit and gravy had no flavor. Red potatoes on side similarly were not flavorful. Had to send eggs back as over easy request was hard the first time and watery whites on the redo. Very disappointing

We had a very nice brunch with a friend visiting from southern Oregon. We all had an egg-based dish, and all were great-tasting and very generously portioned. We will return!!

Excellent in every way...except potentially the wait time-especially weekends. I STRONGLY advise making reservations. My favorite place for brunch in all of seattle. There's something there for everyone.

This place was wonderful! All locally sourced, so many options and a menu that was hard to choose from! So many wonderful options - it was amazing!

Disappointed in quality of food and level of service- one of the orders was forgotten- server apparently having an unpleasant day and it showed in the service provided. This was the complete opposite of my previous experience at this restaurant- I would definitely come back.

The best breakfast anywhere!! It is noisy but in a fun way. Reservation was right on time, we love coming here!!

Awesome organic fare with gluten free options prepared with care. My favorite breakfast/brunch spot in all of Seattle-land!

We arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation (table for four, outside seating required), and we still had to wait 25 minutes past our reservation time. While we will return for the allergy friendly cuisine, it was disappointing to wait so long for a table while countless other parties of similar size were seated ahead of us. Please adjust the timing of reservations to accurately match table availability and reduce the amount of waiting for reserved tables.

Always delicious, and healthy to boot! Wait staff are attentive & friendly. Water is filtered, not tap. Outdoor seating is a lovely covered area.

Going here for a solo breakfast is a lovely treat. They always serve you fast and the food comes out so quickly. Consistency is everything to me when I go out to eat. I like knowing the it will be as good every time. Potatoes are always cooked to perfection. I had the Avocado toast with poached eggs.
