Overall, I’d recommend Preserve and Gather! It’s a great spot for meeting up with a friend, sitting down to read or study, or just enjoy a nice pastry before carrying on with the rest of your day. The beverages were mid. I ordered the drip coffee, which was too rich for my preference. My wife had the Matcha latte which had a really mild Matcha flavor. Their pastries were pretty good with a tahini something (had the black sesame seeds) that was so unique and well balanced. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good as well, though I wish I got it with bacon instead of ham (my fault). It comes with a dill mayo sauce. One final note: even though the café was nowhere near busy when we had arrived, the cashier seemed to be impatient with us.

Food -Overpriced and lacking flavor and presentation.
Service- I waited 25 minutes for a salmon bagel sandwich and it wasn't even busy. I understand these things happen, but it shouldn't when there's plenty of staff and not many customers.
Atmosphere. I found it to be fairly disorganized and flies were buzzing around constantly attacking my food. I would say this is a cozy place to read a book while snacking more of a non sterile whimsy nilly. Never coming back.

I came here in 2016 or 2017 to meet my friend Leigh to reconnect and she originally recommended this spot. I remember a pleasant environment so I was happy to come back again on the morning of July 11, 2025. I got myself a latte and it was delicious. The bathroom was clean and we scored a parking spot next to the shop. Our cashier didn't seem to be having the best day and their attitude was indifferent towards us, but all other staff I encountered were pleasant and friendly.

Delicious food both baked and sandwiches. They make their own vanilla syrup!

This coffee shop has a lot of options to choose from, which is great! I tried the cold brew, but it was a bit too strong for my taste, that’s just a personal preference. If you like bold coffee, you’ll probably love it! The servers were really nice, and the place wasn’t crowded, which made for a relaxing visit.

Price quality mismatch.
Breakfast sandwich had deli meat and cold sheetpan egg. Drip coffee was expensive and has a very odd taste. Orange loaf was dried out .
It's a lovely spot and nice staff, but I did not finish any of my food. If the price was more reasonable I would give it another try, but I don't feel the need to return.

Thank you for building taxes and tips into your reasonable pricing. This comfortable atmosphere made it easy for me to slip right into work and the noise level was very balanced so I was able to focus no problem. The flavor of the cardamom vegan cake was excellent and so was my chai latte (no extra charge for alt milk on that one). Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant. Many different seating arrangements and tables available. This conveniently located coffee shop was a great experience.

This was my first time in. It is nearly impossible to find decent quick vegan options in Seattle, let alone vegan scones. Preserve and Gather has multiple options. I had the Vegan chocolate oat scone, and i
t was the BEST scone I've ever had. The texture was perfect, the flavor was great, and it was fresh and still a bit warm. Honestly, I almost cried. So good! I will definitely be going out of my way to come here again. Higihly recommend for vegans and omnivores alike!

I bought a ham and cheese sandwich and the whole thing was greasy and cold. Was clearly meant to be eaten hot. Asked them to reheat and said they couldn’t. I’m not sure why they didn’t throw it out if they couldn’t serve it right.
Coffee was good, but the cups will leak.

this used to be my favorite place to come to on my days off. still is when the right people are there- they have always been kind, friendly, and make some of the best coffee! but i’ve recently started going somewhere else. within the last two months when i have gone there, there is a specific barista who i believe is newer has consistently under poured my drinks, have been incorrectly made, or has been short / a little rude to me. i know we all have our off days, i have been a barista for the last ten years. but this has been consistent and i have walked into p&g and walked out when i have seen her because i don’t want to pay for a bad experience :-( i just wanted to share my experience, i don’t know if it’s universal. i am just bummed that my once favorite place i used to go to is now not always an enjoyable experience.

General last 5 years review: mixed on food and coffee/tea, although used to be better and loved going there often. Their sandwiches were so good. Scones lately are often undercooked. Worst chai I've ever had, no flavor. Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews but it's such a nice neighborhood location. Service is fast but some seem like they don't want to work there. Where's the owner to oversee quality?

$4.89 for an 8 or 12 oz Americano. 'Nuff said.
