Delicious food! I love Mexican food but I have unfortunately rarely seen it elevated to an interesting culinary experience and Raíz does just that. Take some great flavors, put out well made interestingly paired items to deliver a diner experience beyond the street taco. Our sever was also super helpful and made great recommendations when it came to ordering things that’d both be enough food and work well together. Highly recommend.

Great small spot with friendly and attentive staff. Overall the food was delicious. Crispy pork was great with the tortillas and pork fat, prawn tostada had a nice spicy kick to it.

Extraordinary service and delicious food (the Mexican chocolate cookie is a must) at a reasonable price. Cannot recommend

Really good. Unlike other Mexican places I’ve been. Mexico City cuisine—they say, and I trust; I wouldn’t know—but their house heirloom corn tortillas and crispy hoison pork are great and the drinks are great. Pricey, but laid back. The chef/owner seems to genuinely enjoy what he’s doing, the food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is unpretentious.

Our daughter told us about this cute little spot in Ballard. Four of us were amazed by the quality and creativity of all the dishes. The costillas de maíz, crispy pork, radicchio Caesar salad. The panna cotta and cookies for dessert - all delicious! Oh, and the jalapeño margarita - yum!

Had reservation, staff took forever to seat us and there were tons of open tables. Then they just left us sitting there for 10 minutes. One waiter just sitting there casually talking to a table for 15 minutes. Maybe come take our drink order? Not sure what that was all about but we just left. Might try again some other time but this was just brutally terrible for us.

Amazingly creative cocktails and an upscale Mexican Pacific Northwest fusion menu all served family style. Try the hablame bueno and the Mexican chocolate chip cookies.

Food sits on the counter and just cools down. The wait is tooo damn long, don’t come here if you are hungry. Food is interesting but definitely not worth the money or wait.

FULL of neighborhood charm! The BEST Breakfast Burrito e-v-e-r alongside their house frozen margarita is the most amazing way to start your weekend morning. All heart and deliciousness!

One of our go-to restaurants. Always inventive and delicious. Definitely recommend their Wednesday tasting menu for a reasonably priced 3-course meal. Truly a hidden gem in Phinney.

Another hidden gem in seattle. We shared multiple small plates and every dish was great. Fun vibe and friendly staff. Good prices for the high quality food being made. Also good drink list and very high quality and interesting wines from Mexico explore along with solid cocktails. Highly recommend, but might need a reservation on busier nights.
