I absolutely love the food at Raccolto. Although they were very busy on New Year's Eve they still managed to provide decent service. However, after our second course was delivered we didn't see our server again until the end. I planned to order another drink but no one came back around so that was very disappointing. My primary issue is how absolutely freezing cold the restaurant is when you're seated near the door! Every time the door opens(and it opened frequently) freezing cold air would blast into the restaurant straight on to every table within the main part of the restaurant. It's very difficult to thoroughly enjoy the food when you're bundled up in your large coat and gloves to stay warm which I was forced to do for the better part of my meal. I really wish the restaurant would address this issue. Overall it's a lovely restaurant and the food never disappoints.
This was our annual early-seating New Year Eve and Anniversary celebration for the two of us. We are blessed to have Raccolto within walking distance. The service was, and is always, extraordinary. The special New Years Eve menu was outstanding. It can be noisy, depending more on groups of 4 and how the acoustics work there. But it was all couples last night and we also had an enjoyable conversation with a couple at an adjoining table. What can I say more than this is our go-to place for a very special evening, and also where we delight to take visiting friends and family.
Sat in the bar had the chefs choice menu food was fantastic, wait staff was very good, cocktails were great. Jamie Julieann Donohue
Wonderful blend of options, flavors. Great attention to detail by staff, Raccalto always gets it!
The dinner was delicious and the service was lovely. My only complaint was that the dessert was not good at all. It was my friends birthday and we ordered the olive oil cake and ate 2 bites cause it was straight up gross. =(And we were charged for it which was an extra bummer.)
The food neither warranted the price in terms of taste, quality, or quantity. Salmon crudo was $23 for less than 2oz of salmon. It tasted fine. The bread service was pretty good, as was the agnolotti. Wagyu steak was 50 something dollars and was average. It also took quite a while to get our food - we arrived at 6:25 and got our mains at 7:30.
its a sweet place but after two visits, I am left with a disappointed perspective. Took four others for a 3-course dinner. We were served three starter plates, a kale salad, roasted carrots and seared albacore - only the kale salad was a positive experience. The carrots were burnt, dried up and only reluctantly edible. The main dishes were okay to good depending on one's choice. Finally, the deserts also were okay - nothing special. We shared a bottle of wine and one person had a cocktail. The bill came to $448! Ouch. Not worth what we were served.
Amazing experience! Went for Resturaunt week and was not disappointed at all! Cozy atmosphere allows talking with your companions without feeling like everyone can here you. Not too loud not too quiet. Food was 20/10 exceeding all expectations of the night. Will definitely be coming back again.
I always enjoy coming here. It was a bonus to come for restaurant week. The food was great as always, and the atmosphere is also great to have a night out with girlfriends.
We lucked out and sat up in the loft, quiet and easy to converse. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Apparently you don't order the chefs menu here, lesson learned. So many things that went wrong here. First, they gave amazing fresh bread here, but not if you order the chefs tasting menu, NO BREAD FOR YOU! We ordered a cocktail before meal service, took 15 minutes to get the drinks and then suddenly our first course appeared at the same time, not ideal. We were never offered the wine pairing option that was mentioned when we booked the reservation either, guess we won't do the wine pairing 😏. First course was 4 sampler apps, 2 of them were tomatoes, nothing had much flavor other than the pickled watermelon rind - which was somehow the only redeeming feature of course 1. Course 2 is the only reason I didn't give this a single star, the pasta dish was incredible (a touch salty, but that's my preference anyway, blood pressure be damned), the mushrooms were great, this was the clear apex of the chefs offering. Third course was a piece of sliced pork served over grits and a red pepper sauce. Overall there was very little flavor and this grisly fatty serving of pork should not have been served in a restaurant of this caliber, period. Finally, the dessert was fine, 4 grilled peach slices with a sweet glaze. We didn't need a heavy dessert, so whatever, but come on man, so little effort for the price. I would still recommend the place, just order pasta from the menu and don't tell yourself this is a Michelin caliber joint, it's far from it.
Everything was really good except, oddly, the actual pasta noodles. We ordered bucatini and what they serve is not bucatini by a long shot. It is much larger and very chewy. I would have preferred boxed bucatini or, even much better, properly made bucatini that is made with an extruder through a die. The sauce on the pasta was excellent. They just need to fix the noodles.
We have been here two times and each time have loved the chefs tasting menu. It is the perfect culinary journey for a night where you are feeling adventurous. The restaurant is top quality from the ambience, the servers and of course the food. Highly recommended.
Top spot in West Seattle. Always so good.

The staff was outstanding. Such a team effort. The food absolutely delicious! A little pricey, but worth it for that experience.
