It's a nice very basic place to eat. It is right inside the cancer center which makes it convenient
Great food but, seems like it's always remodeling ?

They have decent baked goods and a wide variety of beverages. The grab and go ham sandwich was alright. Some of the hot food is a bit hard on a cancer patients stomach. More comfort foods would be nice like chicken noodle soup, grilled cheese. Cauliflower and hummus gyros are pretty hard to digest. We used to go to MD Anderson cancer center and their cafeteria was like a mall. Tons of choices. There isn’t really anything within walking distance of SCCA for a quick meal. We decided to just pack our lunches. Unfortunately there isn’t any place to really eat it as the center wants food and drink to be limited in the waiting areas.
Keep in mind that there is a hot food "dead hour" from 10am - 11am as they transition from breakfast to lunch. During this time, however, you can still grab a sandwich or whatever is in the cooler. Coffee is still available during that hour. That being said, there are usually two options. One typically includes a meat protein while the other is usually vegetarian (not vegan). Both options are almost always sub $10.00. For Seattle, this is a great value for what you get and the meals are typically pretty health focused. After all, you're at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance so that adds up.This review is still during the pandemic (Delta Variant being the current big one), and a lot of patrons will be immunocompromised. It's nice to have this option and the tables spread far enough apart and cleaned regularly. Staff is very friendly. I see the odd review from non Seattle natives thinking that the staff is slightly standoffish, but I believe that's just a culture difference and people mistaking our mannerisms for curtness. I'll stop the review here before it gets more preachy. Overall I definitely recommend.
Closed for construction, but temporarily relocated to the 3rd floor.
Very filling. Definitely worth going back to. This place has a good design.
Over priced
Good selection of healthy eats at a reasonable price.
Great breakfast.

For the past 6 weeks, this CLINIC cafe, has run out of food before 4pm. (They advertise that they have 'grab n' go' sandwiches and salads until they close at 7pm) - it's 230pm, today, 9/4. Apparently (yet again) they are all out of everything (literally everything that should be prepared) but soup - until they run out of soup. And lately soup runs out around 4pm, because there are no other foods. This is the most depressing part of coming to this cancer center. They literally don't care anymore if patients and care givers can eat meals. Sometimes we're here until past 9pm, and I guess we're to eat snickers and chips from the single vending machine on the 1st floor. I don't think the management cares, because I've heard that the employees actually have been complaining, but the staff of the cafe simply say, so-and so left for the day and they are the only one who makes sandwiches or salads. - Maybe patients should take a 30mins shuttle ride to the UW for food, seeing as how the SCCA and the cafe manager/Director of Operations doesn't seem to care that patients and families should have a sandwich available at 3pm on a Tuesday. ? Maybe the SCCA should stop making appointments past 2pm? Oh well. Sorry cancer patients. They just don't have time or the staff to feed you. :(
Delicious food, a little pricey
Very disappointed. Just stood in line to get breakfast. Another person and I were told that we could not be served because they close at 10 to get ready for lunch. Potatoes, sausage and bacon were all cooked and just sitting there. I walked away to try to find someone in one of the refrigerators. Two minutes later there are three people at the counter being served the very same food that they refused to serve me. Will never eat there again! The food is too expensive anyway and not that great but when there are no other choices sometimes we would have to eat there anyway. We'll be packing our lunch in the future!
For **YEARS** patients and staff asked for the return of vegetarian salads, we now get an $8.00 caesar salad (which is composed of - 90% romaine, 4% tomatoes, 4% dressing, 2% cheese) if you want a chicken caesar salad, it's only $0.50 more? Find the logic there for me. Egg salad is the **ONLY** vegetarian sandwich, it's $7.75. Meat/veg/cheese is $7.75. I'm lost on the attack of patients and staff wishing to make healthy choices. The manager/supervisor sincerely does not care about the comment cards or complaints about the prices or the lack of options other than turkey wraps, turkey sandwiches and turkey salads. - The newest thing they've done, only allow a *single veggie soup option, all week*. - it used to rotate one week on, one week off (for a variety) but now, it's all week, the same veggie soup. The dysfunction of this cafe, compared to the two others on the campus is insulting to patients, care givers and staff. It truly makes no sense. Memo was the only person who cared about veg salads and sandwiches for patients, who simply cannot eat big meaty meals all the time, ask the providers what they should be eating, healthy veg packed salads, or a cobb salad? The patients can't afford to eat here from the grab and go case, it's heart breaking to witness. To anyone who reads this, there are more affordable options by Bon Appetit, on the Hutch campus. Ask reception where the Thomas and Arnold buildings are to get a better variety and better selection for often lower prices. 7am-2pm. It would be great if the manager of this cafe, took these comments seriously. Change is needed. You can't have patients be taken advantage of this way.
The food is good quality, but section is limited. It's pretty bright and clean cafeteria style, no charm. But then again it's there specifically for cancer patients and their families/friends while they are receiving treatment.
