Spicy Mexican Mocha is my go-to 100% of the time! It comes with chocolate and chili powder, what's not to love?!The place is welcoming, clean and so many items to choose from. The baristas have incredible skills, customer service and really great vibes. If you're in the area it's worth giving them a try! Who needs Starbucks when you have shops like this around. 10/10 will always go whenever I'm in the city.

The perfect chocolate highly recommended. My favorite is the champurrado, but all are great.

Great coffee, great tea and stone- ground Mexican cocoa products and chocolate. Service was excellent and the place is conveniently located. Will go back for an actual hot chocolate! Also I had injured my finger elsewhere so they gave me a band-aid! Thank you!

I tried to send an email to corporate but it bounced back. That's not a good sign. Here's my email:I was given a gift certificate to Rey Amargo in Seattle on 722 E Pike Street for Christmas and I've been really looking forward to using as I LOVE chocolate. We finally visited today and I was ecstatic to find that you had Mexican (and versions of) hot chocolate. I've been looking for Mexican Hot Chocolate for AGES.I went to the counter to ask how much they cost (because honestly I wanted all 4 ;-)) and I stood there for......I have no idea how long actually. Several minutes. My partner tried to get me to be patient and so I didn't say anything but after awhile it became apparent that the two employees there (1 woman 1 man) did not have any kind of customer service skills. There ZERO eye contact, from the time I came in until the time I left. They both walked very close to me at the counter several times without an acknowledgement that I was even there. I finally spoke up quite loudly "can I get some service?!" and she was standing right there and said 'oh sure sorry i was busy" and STILL no eye contact. I got two of your hot chocolate flavors with my gift card and we've tried the hot chocolate at home this evening and while I am quite impressed with your hot chocolate, I won't be going back again. They need to be taught basic politeness and customer service skills.

if you're a chocolate coffee person, this is the best place to get a mocha in Seattle. okay, tied with Chocolati Cafe maybe. but every single type of mocha I've had has been phenomenal they use such good chocolate.

When I am out of town, Rey Amargo is the place I miss the most. It is a chocolate shop whose menu includes a wide array of traditional cultural beverages, as well as some more familiar coffee shop options. I’ve tried a majority of their chocolate beverages, and everything is robustly flavorful, well balanced, and not overly sweet. My favorites include the Aztec hot chocolate, the orange Mexican mocha, and the champurrado (a recurring special!) They have hot drinks, iced drinks, and frappés, and most of the drink menu can be made vegan. The staff are all awesome and very helpful if you need help deciding which drink is right for you. If you are a chocolate fan, make this your next stop!Vegetarian options: Vegan options for drinksDietary restrictions: Many vegan options for drinks!

Super fun hot chocolate restaurant. Most of the drinks are not super sweet and perfect for the adult palate. We enjoyed seasoning our own hot chocolate with vanilla syrup, chili, pepper, & cinnamon. The Monterey Jack cheese was a perfect pairing with the chocolate. Lovely restaurant, beautiful presentation, and helpful staff. We had a lovely time trying different drinks.

Second time visiting and can’t wait to return. Friendly staff and delicious drinking chocolate! Not too sweet, just perfect. Try the French style, thick and creamy. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.
