Tried the online delivery service. I normally use Amazon Prime Now, but thought I’d give Safeway a try and take advantage of the $25 off promotion. Bad idea.
My order arrived 25 minutes late for a one hour delivery window. I’ve used Amazon numerous times with no problems. Orders always arrived on time, the person filling them texted me about substitutions, and I can track where the driver is in real time.
Half of the items weren’t in bags, so the driver is handing me a bunch of loose things, and I was frantically trying to find a place to set them down.
Labels were stuck over the bag handles, so I couldn’t use them to carry my groceries to the kitchen.
The rolls that were substituted are utter garbage, not nearly the quality of the LaBrea rolls I ordered. Their in-house baked goods are not good. They’re just cheap, mushy white bread.
I’ve been on hold several times trying to contact someone and sent three emails. No response.
This is very disappointing.

The sandwich bar is frustrating as they really only seem to have 1 trained person...
They turn off self checkout at 10pm and it sucks waiting. Avoid this place at 10pm.
Sarah works in the Deli! She's amazing and has more energy than anyone I know! She's also a great sandwich artist. Visit her!
Like the store but hate the parking. We get it Seattle you LOVE the Prius.... Eesh...
This is THE WORST safeway I've ever been to. The lazest workers ever, especially the managers. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
