We came in on a Saturday afternoon and tried both samplers. For a great price we got to try some unique and delicious sake and our service was excellent!

It looks really nice from the outside but google has incorrect hours. Sadly drove an hour to come and it wasn’t open :/

Great Sake bar. Recommended for anyone who likes Sake or wants to learn more about it.

A recent month-long trip to Japan whetted our appetite for sake. We parked at the Tukwila light rail station and took Sound Transit into Seattle. We chose one each of the two tasting flights (three pours with each one), then got an additional pour of our favorite from the initial tasting. Both my wife and I prefer the drier styles normally, but were happy to try one that was slightly effervescent and with hints of green apple.

The server (owner?) was great at further educating us about sake styles, and helped us to select a couple bottles to bring home with us. Sake Nomi has been in business for 17 years. Note that no food is served, it is a sake bar/shop exclusively.

Parking: on street or garage parking only. Use Sound Transit/Metro or bike/walk.

Happened upon this business when visiting downtown Seattle. We decided to stop in and enjoy some sake as treat to ourselves. We got two sets of sake samplers and shared them while chatting away with one of the owners. The sake was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. The featured samplers change out seasonally giving you a reason to come back and there is a wide variety of sake to try if you want to go off list. Great place to take a date or just relax sipping a glass of something delicious. The only downside is that this place does not exist closer to where I live.

So I got to sake nomi at 4pm on 3/6 but there was a hand written letter on the door the said "be right back". Which totally understand but they were gone for about 30 minutes minimum. When my group finally got in, our server was the only one there and didn't have a single interest. Between seating ourselves, asking how glass/flights work. The server didn't really dive into anything about the sakes instead he gave us pamphlets. To be fair the sake was delicious! Afterwards we checked out the retail area where the server didn't stand up to help us as all. Which is a shame because they had an amazing selection! The place was amazing but the servers lack or excitement/interesting left my group and I confused and feeling unwelcomed.

The gentleman operating the place when I was there knew his stuff! My friend and I went in on recommendation from a proprietor local to him (my friend lives in California) and I'm glad he made the recommendation. The menu is a rotating menu which I believe is changed weekly (don't quote me on that!) with the option for individual pours or flights of 3 curated sakes. The descriptions were accurate to my inexperienced palate. When I described what I was looking for, and showed some pictures of varieties I enjoyed, the gentleman recommended a few varieties, and I have to say... He's good at his job! I thoroughly enjoyed the sake he poured me, and less so the sake my friend opted for (though he was equally pleased with his selection, so the guy knocked it out of the park two for two).If you're in the area: I highly recommend trying it out.

Happy to have found this place. All the bottles I bought have been great and people I shared it with liked it too. A lot of affordable options and not just expensive bottles. It’s really great that they have flights that rotate weekly so it’s easy to revisit.
