The quintessential essential cafe/diner that backs it up with great quality classic breakfast plates.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. It was a great find. The food was good, and not crazy expensive.
The music playlist was great, as well. The server was very friendly. It's a great little breakfast spot right by the water.

We had a small issue, I expected a free Bloody Mary (they are 10 out of 10 btw), instead, they comped my entire meal. You can tell they love and care about their customer.
This is my new favorite place.

I had the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich and their clam chowder. Both were good. The server was pleasant and efficient. The place itself was fine. Just a little ole diner.

Food was disappointing A diner chicken fried steak is always a welcome guilty pleasure and this steak was pretty good. The eggs and hashbrowns were cold though.
I was ignored the entire time by the wait staff, drinks were empty throughout most of my meal and I was seated directly next to the bar.
I like the vibe of the place, ive enjoyed coming here in the past. This will be my last time.

This is THE BEST RESTAURANT in all of Ballard. Value-wise, taste-wise - doesn’t matter. It’s so good

So here it goes. The good: The food was fresh and so wonderful, the service was slow to seat but ultimately very good and our server was very pleasant
The bad: It's apparent that I have not been out to breakfast in a while but I had a veggie scramble with hash browns and my co-diner had 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. He ordered an extra egg and asked for extra hash browns (which was extremely small) and ended up to be a surprising $10 upcharge. I asked for sour cream and salsa resulting to be about a heaping tablespoon of each that they charged me $1.50 each for. Believe me, I understand how expensive everything is these days which is why affordability-wise I rarely ever go out to eat. But I was shocked at a final price of $60 for breakfast ( That I really thought would be about $45) and then of course I tipped 20% on top of that. I was fine with the breakfast prices but for me, the up charges were far too high.

This is my go-to diner in Ballard. It's cozy, the food is always good, and the service is always welcoming with small town vibes where everyone knows everyone. It's not always a quick bite, but it's always comforting and tasty!
My go to lunches are the teriyaki chicken sandwich and BLT. Most people get breakfast food here and can't go wrong with any of it!

Like others have shared, food is ok but service is very mid and slow. Waited forever to get seated despite them not being very busy. Just getting coffee seemed to take forever. The sole server was also the host as well as the phone order taker. Seems like they could use some additional staff. I've honestly had better service at a Denny's. The redeeming quality is the decor and old school diner vibe. If you're in a hurry this isn't the place for you. Food is average at best. Potatoes are not seasoned at all, shrimp and crab benny contained canned shrimp with multiple shrimp clearly not deviened. Kinda gross. Can't see a reason to return here. Cute concept, poor execution.

Queen Anne omelette with a side of hollandaise and a spicy bloody mary...good breakfast and drink (the skewer spread was A+), only knocked down a star because the first coffee the cream curdled in the cup so I had to wait a bit for a replacement, would eat here again next time I'm in Seattle though!
