Try the weird seasonal flavors. Just do it. They aren't just advertising gimmicks, they are almost always incredible even when they sound challenging. Chocolate covered crickets? So good. Blue cheese? I don't know how they pulled it off but the did. Candied turkey skin? Omg just take my money.

The vegan options are ok. They typically have at least 1 vegan seasonal flavor and two vegan all-the-time flavors. Sometimes they’re creamy and delicious. The seattle area stores generally have a vegan hazelnut cookies & cream, mint chip, and strawberry coconut that are good.
I actually really like the “ghost” sorbet flavor in October.
People who work there are really nice and you can get as many samples as you want before ordering.

It was my birthday and I ordered a split scoop of two seasonals and it was amazing. The scooper was so nice and gave it to me free of charge! Made my day! I’ve always loved going here, and I try to make it down here at least one a month to try the seasonal flavors. Fantastic Service. She was so sweet and engaging! 5 stars!

Nice place for ice cream with some funky flavors; we went for the ice cream tacos but they ran out; had the salty caramel and it was Rich and smooth; The waffle cone was a bit stale though as I expected it to be fresh

Frequent customer at this location! Overall, salt and straw has an excellent selection of staple and interesting seasonal flavors. This particular location can get busy but the employees do a great job keeping the line moving while being super kind and patient with samples.
I believe consistent great service reflects the employees and their satisfaction with their job, and their management. Shout out to Rhea, who is an awesome manager who views patrons as individuals. Won't get into specifics, but recently I was having a crappy day, and she went above and beyond to make it better. I won't forget those types of gestures! Thanks Rhea and team!
