This chicken yakitori was not even close to the quality of food i expect from the name Sam Choy, doing a disservice to both hawaiian and japanese food serving this as grilled yakitori. The chicken pieces were tiny, the meat itself was tough and dry, the rice and mac salad were decent. The chicken was also covered in chunks of grease that should have been scraped out the pan before a separate sauce or glaze was added. disappointed as i have gone to the seattle and tacoma locations and have not had something like this served to me for $20.

I missed it and really wanted to have it. But mark was rude. Left without ordering.

So I spent like 30/40$ ??? At the kiosk so I go try to sit down in the seating area ( same logo / same name by the way ) and this guy who works there comes up to me and doesn’t say excuse me / doesn’t have a kind voice and says I have to buy something to sit down. I just bought like 40$ worth of stuff, I tell him that. He repeats I have to buy something. He tells me they are separate businesses ( this is the same company / I guess different entities ) and that they share a kitchen ( And the food btw ) so I’m not allowed to sit down. He was rude, and not kind, also what do you mean I can’t sit down if I buy the same food ????? It was horrible. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Also they didn’t give me any to go silverware and when I asked the lady walked into the back. This place sucks.
The fish was salty to an inedible degree.

So dishonest. Paid the extra $12 for the full-size portion, and only a half sized portion. When I brought it to their attention it was suggested that they will just provide a small side of poke. I’m like no give me the full size portion, including the nachos, they’re like I’m too busy. I had also asked for no green onion, and they ignored that request and put extra green onion. Uggh. I get that I’m a bit picky, but when you’re spending over $40 for one person and are asked at their kiosk to tip an additional $10 you expect what you order.

Adding this to my list of favorite airport restaurants! Did not expect the quality, quantity, and value of our meals. High marks for the kalua pork platter and clam chowder. Good drink selection and better than average customer service!

I wouldn’t have considered leaving a review for an airport restaurant under pretty much any circumstances, but I had such an exceptionally great experience at Sam Choy’s that I’m stepping up.
Not only was the mocktail pineapple ginger beer delicious and worth it (ok, yes, I almost fell off the bench when I saw the price, but I’m glad I got it), the ahi sohyu rice plate was just what I needed - not too heavy, still filling, a great mix of flavors.
And the service was exceptionally great. When I was leaving, I took my water bottle out to dump my remaining water in (I never pass up a good iced water!) and the bartender came over and offered to fill it with ice water! So kind!

So yes, 100% I’ll be coming here for lunch every time I have the chance.

Completely disappointed in this restaurant. It isn't a proper representation of Hawaiian food. Everything, I mean everything, was completely bland. Macaroni salad, bland. Gravy, bland. Burger, bland. Fried egg, bland. White rice, bland. The loco moco was by far the worst I've ever had. Definitely will not be wasting my money there again.

Missed a connecting flight back home to Hawai'i, but saw a Sam Choy's restaurant and got curious. Ahi poke salad was not bad, the tuna is previously frozen but not icy which is what sometimes can happen; it tasted great. The wasabi aioli is creamy and not spicy at all, moreso sweet and creamy because of the unagi sauce, but it pairs well. The mai tai in the SPAM can and Hawaiian mule in a pineapple copper mug we're the highlights for me, great presentation. Khang is an awesome bartender, he hooks you up with some strong drinks! Music is awesome too, a fun mix of reggae covers of pop songs. I'd come hang out here again if I had another layover at SeaTac.

Food tastes fine but the proportions are crazy. The lettuce takes up 2/3 of the wrap to make it look bigger. Airports are crazy though.

There were quite a few people waiting but I ordered anyway. I had my poké in less than 10 minutes. I got the small and it was meals worth of dmfood for the average person. It was some of the best pokéive had in general, and maybe the best meal I've had at an airport.
