I got a Ballard roll and the beef yakisoba, was delivered, but I've seen the online reviews and pictures of what they receive in the store so, I was hoping to get more than just 5 pieces of a roll for $12. Other than that, tasted good. And recommend their beef yakisoba tastes great and good portion but still feel like it may be overpriced cause it could have had more.

One of our longtime favorite sushi restaurants, Sam's is always delicious. On our recent trip, we enjoyed nigiri, bento box, and udon soup--it was all outstanding. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is hit and miss (no parking lot unfortunately). Now that bento now comes with maguro (tuna) instead of hamashi, but the wait staff graciously provided hamachi (yellowtail) this time only. We'll be back!Kid-friendliness: family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Door is wide enough, but needed help opening (old building). Ramp just inside was wide, easy to walk down. Regular tables, able to wheel up to one. Didn't use the rest room. No handicap parking but you may find street parking nearby. We found a place out front, there's an old ramp right here too (former loading dock?). Staff was pleasant and helpful.

We’ve been to some bougie sushi places around town but we always come back to Sam’s because you can’t find better quality for the prices. The salmon they use is always impossibly fresh and buttery, I could eat it every day.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp from front door to dining room

For the price it was 5 stars. I'd suggest getting their rolls over the nigiri. Casual spot with decent seating options and fast service. We stopped by on a Monday night though, so I can't speak for peak days/hours though.

Racially profiled when picking up my food and I come here almost every week on my lunch break - consecutively throughout the week. There was a different woman working today and not the young lady that usually is working. Very weird experience, will not be going back here. I walked in and the lady says to me “we have no door dash orders” like I worked for door dash and then made me sign my online order receipt because she said sometimes people say they never got their food and try to get refunds from their bank so it needed to be signed, I have NEVER signed a receipt before in the past, today was the only day I was asked. Hey, if that’s the new protocol, maybe explain it differently. I was completely dumbfounded at this because 1. I am not a doordasher and it was assumed as soon as I walked in and 2. I have morals and if I received food I’m eating it and not telling someone I didn’t get it.I usually pick my food up and go.

Sam's Sushi Bar & Grill in Ballard, Seattle, is a cozy, family-run gem with some of the best sushi around. The Bruce Lee, Dynamite, Seattle, and King Kong rolls are all standout choices. Coupled with their super friendly and attentive staff, it's the perfect spot for sushi before a movie nearby. Definitely a highlight in Seattle's sushi scene!
It was okay. Each dish I ordered could have been good but was somewhat let down.Very friendly service, A+. No complaints about the waitresses. The salmon sashimi was good quality, nice-tasting fish, but was too stringy and chewy. Couldn't really bite the big pieces in two, but too big to eat in one bite. I think perhaps the sashimi was cut too thick. It's a shame because the fish tasted nice otherwise.Same problem with the bluefin tuna nigiri and the toro nigiri -- very stringy and chewy, too big for one bite, too stringy and a little too tough to separate into two bites. The calamari was good.Overall I think this place could really be good if they just got some of the little details right.

Came in an hour before they closed, were rushed the whole time and bad customer service. Seems like they didn't even want our service.
