A definite dive bar. Good atmosphere, very friendly staff. Quirky, with lots of cool things around the room to see. Worth a visit.

Forever in love with the screwdriver! Walking down into this basement bar, you're enveloped in classic vibes. Better than jukebox, it's authentic classic rock. Mellow and edgy aesthetic; the workers are relaxed but professional. The bartender will cover your unattended drink for you! These people look out. This spot always gets me grooving. Recommended for before and/or after a crocodile/Madame Lou's show😎 also a nice spot to flex for any +1's...shows off you know the cool authentic/OG Seattle spots to go to the screwdriver. You're welcome for the tipđŸ€™

Reminds me a lot of true, Midwest dive bars. It's in a basement? Check. Had some questionable liquor and beer choices? Check. Music good and chill bartenders? Check. Reminded us of a little sliver of home and definitely did not disappoint. Try a Campari pickled egg and see if you can get lucky to catch a show in the backroom. Overall a great experience and so happy we found this gem!

This place will make you feel cool just by stepping inside. Apparently nirvana used to rehearse here back in the day? Which as a 42 year old kinda hurts to say. I turned around and here I am saying back in the day. Lord have mercy. Anyway, the bar tender with the cool hat and kind voice is the most welcoming person I think I may have ever met. Spoke to me like he’d known me, well, since back in the day, but not in a fake way. Great rock n roll tunes and even a non alcoholic beer or two for us on the wagon. Five stars

With records and posters all over the walls and ceiling I guess you’d call this a dive bar, but it’s a really fun place to go and if Chris the bartender is working, you’ll get some great stories. I find myself turning friends onto the place after local concerts.

Apply yourself though to find parking spaces other than the lot right next-door as I think it was about $25 .

Dude. Words alone cannot express how I feel about this bar. From the decor, to the vibe, to the staff... This was the cherry on top of my unbelievable trip to Seattle.
Cocktails that are different from anything you have had, in a great way. They have a non alcoholic drink list that is bigger than some folks' entire menu. The best music deep cuts. Friendly folks. What else can I say other than standing outside and throwing people in the door?

If you’re looking to watch the big game, if you’re looking to be shushed by a mixologist, if your goal is to sip science experiments in an industrial chic space, Screwdriver is likely not the bar for you. For everyone else, welcome to a truly special place. A true “third space”, run by kind humans. There are many bars in Seattle, and many thousands more in the US. There is only one Screwdriver.
So show up as yourself, be nice, tip well, and welcome yourself to the best clubhouse in town.

A dive bar with way too good of a spirits collection. Whoever their beverage director is, hats off to you. They had El Jolgorio Cuish 😁

Super cool underground dive with a grunge/rock vintage vibe to it. Derek was great all night pouring the drinks down and a lot of cool people from Seattle and out of Seattle (like myself). Worth coming for an evening drink with friends or alone when visiting the city.

I’m really happy bars like this still exist in the world. Unpretentious and cool. Good drinks, great staff and well ventilated. Recommended!
