This was our first coffee stop while in Seattle for a week and it may have been the best. Such a cozy location with beyond ample seating for studying or otherwise. All three of our coffees were delicious and well made with friendly service.
this café features a warm, relaxed environment with a strong focus on both community and quality.
Welcoming staff, moderate non-intrusive music, and thoughtful owners create a balanced, open setting conducive to both socializing and co-working

I recently visited Sunshine Coffee on 35th Ave NE, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The space is warm, inviting, and perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. There’s a two-story setup with plenty of seating, natural light, and a calm vibe that makes it feel like a true neighborhood hangout.
The coffee was excellent—I had cappuccino , and it was smooth, rich, and balanced. They also have a great selection of pastries and breakfast options, many of which are locally sourced. I tried Cornetto and it was fresh and flavorful.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall good energy of the place. Whether you're just stopping in for a quick drink or planning to stay a while, Sunshine Coffee is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for the past 4 years and have noticed that in the last year, coffee quality has been consistently deteriorating in taste.
I love the seating, atmosphere and the baristas are usually very kind. But lately the past three cappuccinos have been made subpar but today really took the cake. The foam was messed up, which was fine if the espresso itself wasn’t incredibly burnt to the point I could not drink it even though I paid well over $6 for a 12 oz.
This cafe is great and definitely a pillar of the community with an awesome selection of pastries and warm environment, but I honestly think the espresso beverages need serious improvement… especially with these coffee prices.

Unassuming little coffee shop with seating on two floors. Good drip coffee with a selection of pastries available. Street parking.

It was my first time here, and it’s such a cute two-story coffee shop. It was a bit crowded, but I was still able to find a seat. I ordered a café latte and it was good.
The vibe was a mix: a few UW students quietly studying and some louder visitors having a meeting. I appreciated that they offer stainless steel cups near the water station. Free street parking is limited, so plan ahead if you’re driving.

Good place to grab coffee and work or study. They have plenty of seating inside and a few chairs outside as well. They have upstairs seating too. The coffee was good, and they also serve some pastries and premade breakfast sandwiches.

Great local coffee shop down the street from me. My Americano was delicious. My only issue was the WiFi would not connect to the internet. Not sure if it was my location within the cafe but that was a bummer.
