6 months pregnant and seriously craving congee.

Didn’t have the capacity to make it with all the intention that I’m used to but I’m so glad that the algorithm introduced me to Secret Congee. It hit the spot!

As a vegan, I haven’t found a restaurant in Seattle that offers any options. Not only does Secret Congee have several vegan options, they are extremely conscious of any allergies and their service staff is so kind and thoughtful....

I was a fan of their previous spot, Congeez, so I’m excited to see how they’ve evolved into Secret Congee here in Ballard.

I ordered the shrimp tom yum congee. It was incredibly flavorful and aromatic, with that bright, tangy tom yum profile done really well. It came with four giant shrimp as well as ginger and cilantro that added a fresh, fragrant balance that tied everything together perfectly. Surprisingly filling. Really like the tom yum shrimp, well seasoned and huge shrimps. The most mushroom was a bit under seasoned. The soya milk tastes like formula milk which is weird...
