This is not a five star review , I aknowledge if you look at my reviews I mostly do negative ones , especially when my drink is 75-95% ice , its a drink , over iced in a cold climate , most of the time when I ask a bartender to make a drink no ice they do one of these things , say they can't, or say it will be smaller , or say it will have the same amount of alcohol but more fillers , rarely do they say the third thing then ask if I want it to be a double , its called giving the customer what they want and upsaling another shot , aka making the bar more money , if my drink is drunk in 2-5 swallows it's not a drink , paying 15$ is not worth 2-5 swallows . Oddly when I was in mexico where its hot , drinks have 2-5 ice cubes , then after shaken they melt , the drink is cold and can actually be drunk . It's cold here , why doesn't anyone serve hot alcoholic drinks , we all get lattes that are hot ,
That said ,the server was nice , the food is good

This place is amazing! The food is great, and their happy hour lasts until 1:00 AM for food (til close for drinks). I really love the vibe here.
Our experience is always fantastic thanks to Ryan and Luis. We came on a different day, and the service and hospitality felt completely different—honestly, not great. Because of this, my husband and I now make a point to visit only when Ryan is behind the bar to ensure a great experience.
Please do everything you can to keep these two amazing people, as they truly make a difference in the guest experience!

Elijah is one of the best servers around. He remembered our names and orders from our first visit! We love the wings, Caesar salad, garlic parm fries, steak frites and burger. Plus good cocktails and rotating beer selection. Can't really go wrong with anything. They have a stellar happy hour, chill vibe and good music. It's our favorite little spot (almost don't want the word to get out!)

Sat down with no service for 10 minutes. No workers present and about 3 people in restaurant. As we decided to leave, rude bartender entered the room and weirdly started yelling “thanks for coming” even more rudely and exaggerated in attempt to….i guess embarrass us for leaving? Sad because service has been great in the past—embarrassed for him

Vegetarian options: We ordered vegetarian options from the menu. Grilled cheese and fries, sauteed green beans, hummus and veggies, and the garden salad. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations.
Such a good find! The food was well seasoned! There was a good variety of meals. the server was really nice and made some good recommendations for personalizing your dish. They had really good NA cocktails. I got the shadow burger with sweet potato fries and pulled pork boats - OMG ! so good!

This place is always a 10/10 for me. Service is great, and it's one of my go to brunch spots. Large portions. My favs are the salmon benedict and fruit bowl.
You've also gotta go to the drag brunch, it is so much fun! Bring $20-$30 cash, and the staff will give you $1's in exchange. There will be a host, a dj, and ~3 performers - don't forget to tip each of them and your server, you're paying for the experience. Men sometimes heckled, in a fun way. Lots of birthdays.

I like this bar and will probably return. Good service. Excellent fries. Seriously, whatever you get here, get the fries, they do them right. The burger...not so much. And its a shame because its a properly cooked medium rare patty with good toppings, including excellent pickles, but its ruined by a stale falling apart bun. I beg of you, don't ruin a good burger with a bad bun. But overall a good spot with good beer and good fries and good service and ambience.

Late night dinner during happy hour as our first time visiting. Ended up here because we were hungry and disappointed after wasting 2 hours driving and $70 of non-refundable tickets/parking attempting to experience Astra Lumina only to have been turned away once inside because it (Astra Lumina) is not wheelchair accessible at all. Chose this pub from the nearby options based on the cool name. The vibe inside Shadowland was great! We especially enjoyed the painting choices. Rachel, our server, was working her butt off as the only server outside the bar! 💪 Amazing service despite the place being packed! Table was clean. Food was good. Bathrooms were clean. We were also very relieved that the total cost for two dinners ended up being less than we were fearing it would be (non-alcoholic drink prices weren't listed anywhere and some of the competition charges crazy high prices for soda, shrubs, etc).
I'm taking off one star for the uncomfortable seating (hard wood, tight squeeze around the table, etc) and the fact that the only non-alcoholic drinks listed on the menu are 3 ABV-free mocktails (hemp, whiskey, or vermouth), but I would very happily go to Shadowland again.
