I had a wonderful dinner here with friends. We shared a variety of appetizers and had the lamb shank for my entrée. All we had was delicious! The service was great and Hamid, the owner was an awesome host. The ambiance and glass house we dined in was special and beautiful! A gem at the market.

I’m a big time foodie, and I can say with praise that Shama is an all around top notch Seattle restaurant experience. From the view of the Pike Market sign and trees, to the view lower market and waterfront. The restaurant and bathrooms were incredibly clean. And the decor was happy, tasteful blend of new Moroccan style trends mixed with tradition design. These are the things I notice first… all that goes into creating an amazing atmosphere which sets the stage for the foodie experience. So a win with that.My friend and I (out for a girls dinner night) ordered and shortly after the wine arrived (we went with the waiters recommendation and it was one of the best white wines I’ve ever had and paired perfectly with the meal. The wine was opened for us with the presentation you would expect from a restaurant that knows how to deliver a pleasant dining experience. The hummus appetizer arrived next. The photo speaks for itself!! Gorgeous, light and tasty! 3rd win! Then the shrimp (excellent spices and flavor!)We enjoyed everything so much that we decided to have an after dinner drink at the bar and dessert. A Creme filled Baklava with apricot sauce, and a date sauce. and a Chocolate Grenache.I noticed also noticed barrels that apparently were for aging cocktails. I had no idea that was a thing! I will definitely be back to try that. Thanks Shama for a special dining experience with decadent food presentation and flavors.Go here for yourselves and when you order like a foodie would, that’s when you will experience all that this restaurant has to offer.Enjoy!!!

Heard that they are getting review bombed so I'm offering my experience. Every dish we had, starter to dessert was delightfully crafted. I have eaten Moroccan food for years and struggled to find something suitable in Seattle until I came across Shama one day. They maintain a delightful atmosphere especially with the glass "outdoor" seating. I care a lot about the dining experience and recommend this place to all my friends. You too should trust that you will have a wonderful meal here!

Just a wonderful dinner. The plates were beautiful, the flavors were excellent, and we received consistent quality service. The space is beautiful regardless if you are inside or in the glass room. Shama is perfect for a date, or taking out of town family to dinner. I loved the music that was chosen. It was mostly old school love songs that were quite enough for my husband and I to speak without feeling like we were shouting but loud enough to fill any silence. I'll be recommending this place to anyone who needs a romantic night out.
The Shama is an oasis next to pikes market place. We ate in the glass room, essentially outside, a beautiful setting. Service was polite, attentive, and helpful. Our food was some of the best we've experienced. I ate way more than I should have, but I could not stand the thought of wasting a morsel of that dinner. I had the chicken bastile with koufta and my wife had the lamb tangine. We had an appetizer of baba ganoush, humos, and a third scoop that I can't remember. One of the best meals we have eaten anywhere.
Walked by this restaurant during a visit to Pike's Place. The glass wine house looked like a very great place to eat. I made a reservation for later on that day and was able to get a seat in the glass wine house. They had an excellent selection of wine. We only wanted some small plates but what we did have was exactly what it was supposed to be. The M'killa, which is a seafood dish was really good and tender. We also got the lamb dish which was also absolutely great. The service was outstanding from both our server and the host. I would definitely come back again.
Not sure why this place is getting review bombed unfairly. We had a great meal for a party of 11 that could not have went better. Amazing patio for a summer evening in Seattle. The salads are seasonal and delicious. The lamb shank was one of the best dishes I have had anywhere in Seattle. This place is great and an amazing hidden gem in Pike Place.

This is my second time dining at Shama. I no longer live in Seattle, but when I visit, I try to eat here. The food is wonderful and authentic. Portion sizes are very generous and I am reminded of my travels to Morocco. When it is busy, service can be a bit slow, but the food and drink and decor make up for it.
Came here for a birthday lunch. I've walked past this place plenty of times and never stopped in. We were late for our reservations but it was not created to be an issue by staff. We were seated and because we sat exposed to the sun the waiter offered multiple times if we'd like to move but we were ohkay. The staff was attentive and the food was auh-mazing! Nice size portions too! The grape salad was ordered for the table. The braised lamb wrap was tasty and the chicken kabobs were just as good. So why the 4 stars?! You could only sit on the patio for lunch it was hot and there were no ceiling fans. And the house side salad was bland. But I'll recommend this place and will try it again!

Lovely, distinctive Moroccan food in a fabulous setting. Shama features intriguing tastes, (not fiery spicy-hot, more like warm flavorful dishes). The service is kind and helpful, not intrusive. Sitting on the patio offers great people watching on the market steps, and a nice breeze. This is a great place for a memorable meal. We especially loved the appetizers: a delicate chicken savory pastry, a grilled cauliflower, the unique Shama salad. But everything is good!
Greeted & seated right away. Service excellent. Food delicious. Metza and warm grape Salad with romaine and trimmings fig vinergarett, Lamb Shanks & Short ribs. I'd recommend asking for easy sauces for main courses. The presentation was beautiful.

It is a great location and and has an amazing atmosphere, but the food just isn't that good. The lamb shank is too sweet. The beef short rib is too salty. The fries are not crispy.
Please go here. Wonderful, friendly service...such fun experience, oh and did I mention the food. Oh wow, my date and I left with full bellies and a beyond satisfied palate. It's down a few steps from the market. Can't wait to return. Lots of wine to choose from as well. Indoor and outdoor seating that was just delightful.
