We love this spot! The master sushi chef Khine always makes us great chef specials, and asks about dietary restrictions and allergies as soon as we sit down. Assistant Master Chef Riley also delivers from the best sides and appetizers from the kitchen. Everyone on staff is very friendly and attentive. The pricing is competitive and the food is really good quality.

The Zigzag (deep fried soft shell crab) sushi roll was absolutely to die for! The atmosphere and service at this place is absolutely fantastic. This is the kind of place I plan on bringing all my friends to when we’re in the area. I’d also highly recommend the Ballard Ave roll as it’s part of their happy hour menu. Be warned though that the premium rolls are already pretty filling so me and my partner found ourselves struggling to eat both the Zigzag and Ballard roll in one sitting!

We got the ZigZag roll which had whole deep fried soft shell crab which was AMAZING. This is definitely gonna be a place we plan to bring all our friends who come and visit. Also it’s in such a cute area, perfect for hanging out.

Lunch spot for an enjoyable meal after Ballard Farmer’s Market. Excellent grilled and nicely charred hamachi kama (just slightly over cooked) along with excellent rolls and satisfying gyoza. Service was a bit harried with only one server managing a growing lunch crowd, but he did an admirable job. Music volume could be tempered at bit at lunch but overall found this to be a solid choice for Japanese cuisine. Look forward to returning.

Had a fantastic time at Shiku Sushi tonight! We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and meeting the owner herself, Kayla. She’s great and will kindly steer you in the right direction if you’d prefer she select something for you off the menu. The sake and nigiri was awesome, I’ll most definitely be back for more soon.

Customer service is top notch. We had Kayla as our server and she was amazing.
This is literally the best sushi spot in Ballard (maybe even Seattle). The waitstaff is so kind and knowledgable. Every time I go I am introduced to something new and delicious. Also be sure to try their amazing sake selection ( 10% off Saturday too which is crazy). You will be sure to have an amazing time!!!
