Shingletown Saloon Reviews
As other online reviewers have said before, this bar has a history of racism. When I was trying to meet up with some acquaintances, I was assaulted by the bouncers over there and even when they kicked me out, they kept beating me up. I asked for my hat and they punched and strangled me and said, "I don't give a f*ck about your hat n****r." Please don't go to this bar at all costs. Especially if you are POC or LGBTQIA. The Seattle Office of Civil Rights should go after them.

Shingletown Saloon is a country-themed bar located in the downtown Ballard area, known for its indoor hay bales, friendly staff, and lively atmosphere. It has a dive bar vibe with solid drinks and food, making it a popular spot among a younger crowd. The waitstaff are helpful and chatty, providing a welcoming environment for both regulars and newcomers. Customers appreciate the amazing prices for drinks and the sense of safety felt, especially for women, due to attentive security and staff. While there is sometimes a line to get in past 11 PM, the saloon is a fun place for country karaoke nights and line dancing. The crowd is fun and welcoming, and the music selection can vary with different genres, adding to the lively vibe. The owner and staff make an effort to know regulars by name, creating a home-like atmosphere, and ensuring that everyone has a great time. The food, especially the chicken, is noted as a perfect addition to the night out.
