I would recommend this place! We stopped by randomly, but our experience exceeded our expectations. Chef Johnny did an amazing job making us feel welcome! The food was fresh and delicious. We will be coming back soon for happy hour.

Sugo hand roll. Thank you for the experience. Waitstaff welcomed us and was really helpful when ordering. Ordered the salmon sashimi, scallop hand roll, salmon hand roll, and spicy tuna hand roll and they were all bursting with flavors. Chef Johnny- Thank you for the amazing hospitality. Your communication and professionalism really stood out and made my group of 5 feel really welcomed. Sugo will be a spot I recommend to anyone visiting and asking me for advice. Exceptional service and freshest of the fresh seafood. Don't forget the sake flight! Thanks Chef Johnny. You've raised the hand roll bar to a higher standard in my eyes.

10/10 WOULD COME AGAIN!!! Chef Johnny took care of us. He made sure that we had the best experience. The food came out impeccable and well timed! Just had to say something about the burst of flavor in every single item we had because the umami flavor was to die for. I cannot thank our chef enough for making my first time in Seattle unforgettable!!!!

I've been wanting to go to a hand roll bar ever since I tried it for the first time in SoCal. So, I was pretty excited to learn that Seattle had one too. We had reservations at Sugo for 5PM and were seated right away. Since it was happy hour, we were able to get a few happy hour rolls for $4. My favorite rolls were the Hawaiian poke and scallops! Apparently the truffle avocado roll is popular here, but it didn't really stand out to me. it mainly consisted of avocado, rice, and a hint of truffle oil. For drinks, we got the juicy fruit shooter flight and lychee martini. I enjoyed the presentation but lychee martini but it was a bit too strong for me. The pomegranate shooter was my favorite! For someone who does not like sake, I really enjoyed the shooters since it was more of a sake soda with a bit of fizz. Overall, the service was amazing and the rolls served right away as we finished each one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Seattle!

Amazing presentation and staff! Good place for small bites and catching up with friends. Grab snacks in pike place and head over to Sugo to get a little taste of everything. It is a must go!

Strongly recommend the happy hour specials! We got a whole bunch of things to try and I liked everything we ordered! I can only include 10 photos, but we had the norichos, Inari pockets (not vegetarian!), and chicken karaage for sides and then for hand rolls we had: torched eel, king salmon, tempura shrimp, crispy tofu, spicy scallop, and truffle avocado. They do have several vegetarian options which is nice too. I liked the tofu and scallops the most. The drinks were also really really good and I'd highly recommend any of the cocktails. Service was fine - they seemed really busy as we had to flag down the server a few times and couldn't order from the sushi chefs at the station. They were great at answering questions before we ordered though! The ambiance was fun - casual and lively! We'd definitely come back and plan to!

Came in and found out it was happy hour! I ordered a lychee martini (pls get it) as well as a salmon hand roll, the shrimp, tuna, and scallop. All of which were delicious. I came at a good time because service was quick and there was ample seating. I'll definitely be back when I can.

Came across this place with a group of friends from out of town just trying a bunch of places and every hand roll we tried was amazing. Johnny and Brian took care of us and we couldn't have asked for better service for our first stop of the day!

Can't say much about the food, we got seated at 7:15pm and left at 7:40. No one came up to take our order. Group that was not seated yet (waitlist) were served drinks and got attended to ...

The sushi was fantastic, but sadly, the service didn't match up. We're usually pretty laid-back, but we couldn't help noticing how off the mark the servers were, a sharp contrast to the sushi chef's warmth. Little things like not emailing receipts or grumbling about being swamped left a sour taste. We get that restaurant life is tough, but basic courtesy should be a given, right?
