All white fish, oysters and steaks are great.
No speciality dishes, no awe-striking favorites , especially in the blowing up of the boutique restaurants in town.
Good drinks and they are very flexible to create drinks on your preference.

This is just a lovely restaurant and with a couple small tweaks, I would be giving it 5 stars! The restaurant is small, classic, warmly lit and inviting. The wait staff was very kind and attentive. The fish of the day on the dinner (salmon and halibut) was so fresh and tasty, perfectly grilled! The lemon butter sauce really complemented the fish. The roasted brussell sprouts were a bit tough at the stem and difficult to cut into smaller bitw size pieces, but the flavor was terrific! The mashed potatoes were good. The unfortunate issue was that the fish was very nice and hot, but the sides were literally room temperature. I think the timing in the kitchen was off between plating the main dish and the sides. I would encourage the kitchen to keep a closer eye on that. The second issue was that the food was VERY slow. We did enjoy relaxing with a beautiful glass of wine after ordering, however it was literally over an hour from the time we were seated to the time that the meal was delivered, which was way too long. We probably just hit it on an off night, because our overall experience and dinner were really wonderful!

Excellent dinner experience! All of our food was incredible. Oysters were fresh and yummy. The Butternut gnudi was a unique dish that was seasonal and delicious. The apple crumble dessert with bourbon ice cream was a real treat. Nice ambiance and excellent service. If you feel like a little splurge, this is a great seafood restaurant to try!
One of the best classic restaurants in the city. The service is also truly excellent. Starting with a wonderful hostess who made us feel very welcomed. The whole place is full of professionals that actually care about each tables experience. We started with drinks at the bar and we found bartender Brent charming, engaging and interesting. We will return as often as possible.
This is a warm and inviting restaurant. They serve excellent seafood! We loved the clam chowder. The bar tender is very skilled and friendly.

We had a stellar meal here and will be fondly thinking about it for a while. The Kusshi and Shigoku oysters were delicious. Scallop dish sounded typical but it was executed very well; seared, pillowy perfection.
All of the staff were very kind but our server Darla was DARLING! She was so friendly and attentive. She ensured our dinner experience was superb from start to finish. Cant wait to stop here again during the next visit to Seattle.

We have always loved the “historical pub” ambiance so Seattle's Shuckers Restaurant fit perfectly. The cocktails and service were excellent. I also very much enjoyed my panned fried oysters — so crispy and delicious! However, the macaroni lobster and the fish soup were just okay as was the berry dessert.
Food was wonderful, beautiful space. The scallops and fish of the day were both fabulous. Our server was excellent, great recommendations and perfect amount of checking on us but not overly intrusive
We have been going to Shuckers for decades and it was the go-to lunch place before COVID. On Saturday, we reserved for a pre-Symphony opening concert. One of the entrees was the halibut. It was served cold, way overcooked, and tough. The accompanying salad was a sloppy mashed up of wilted greens and drenched in pooling dressing. To their credit, we were provided with another piece of halibut and the entree cost was taken off the bill. It was surprising and disappointing to be served such a meal in a place known for seafood.
What a tranquil and elegant restaurant with perfect ambiance. The restaurant is over 50 years old and the space is 100 years old, originally a men's clothing store. We wanted fresh seafood and were not disappointed. The halibut was delicious with an option for asparagus salad. Some of the tastiest sourdough boule I have ever had. Best of all was the service. The hostess welcomed us even though their system was down and Chris our waiter was charming, attentive and made for a perfect evening. So glad we stopped in.

Service was great oysters and apps were great but when I came down to the two entrées, the salmon and the halibut were both overcooked and the side dishes on the plate were cold....
Food was pretty good. We liked the ambience and inside decor (dark wood walls, etc). Our waitress was awesome. I don't remember her name or I'd give her a shout out. The raw oysters were OK, but not wonderful. The clam chowder was really good.
Great first dinner in Seattle to start our vacation. Service and food was excellent! We are in town celebrating my husband's birthday and the server went above and beyond to make it special. Fish was super fresh and delicious!
We have been several times. The raw oysters are always good; the fried oysters are not. They use too much breading and not very tasty. The halibut was dry. The gnudi is tasty, but it is also very filling. My husband has enjoyed the scallops also. The sourdough bread is delicious.
Honestly the food didn’t “wow” us, but when I tell you it was the best service we have EVER had, I mean it. Apparently everyone working at shuckers has been there for 10+ years and people have even retired out of it. Chris D. was our server and we honestly felt like we made a friend out of him. Chatting with him made our night, but he also went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. “mama,” the host, sat down with us and even helped us with recommendations around the city. The service alone will make us come back next time we’re in Seattle.
