Food allergies were accommodated well. Drinks from the bar were very good. Service was courteous but unusually slow; staff seemed shorthanded this evening. Oysters were a mix; some were excellent but others were not as fresh as they should be. Black cod cuts were delicious but small and not from the best parts of the fish. Overall this visit was not as good as our previous visits to Shuckers.
We sat outside on a cool Friday at 6pm. It was a good choice because it was a little noisy and crowded inside the restaurant. I had the Caesar salad with crab, outstanding and my husband had the scallops which were served with asparagus and mashed potatoes which were yummy. We also had the crab gratin which was delicious. The lemon drop cocktails were fantastic. The bill was $230 including tip.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. It is a short walk from the convention center. You can eat outdoors or inside. We had a window table for 2 which was perfect. The service was quick. The fried oysters were well prepared, but the Lobster Mac and Cheese was the best dish we had.
