I got the Shultzy and it was delicious. Great ingredients and amazing fries! The atmosphere was pretty good too.

At first I enjoyed this place, but the last couple times I have gone, I have been shocked by the lack of service at all, and when someone does come by, they have the nastiest attitude and don’t stick around long enough for you to get out a 3 word question. You don’t order through the wait staff, you can’t get refills or ask a question, and then they want a tip!

Blonde lady who worked Thursday night was a major bee eye t see h! Cheer up and live a little and learn some customer service it’s not that serious of a job get paid ur minimum and move on!

Edit: my review is not unfounded the blond waitress was incredibly rude and short with us, maybe the owners should look into that instead!

The last two reviews complaining about the service are total BS. I’ve been a regular here for years, and the waitresses know me by name. If I walked in and asked for my regular, they’d know what it is. Here’s a tip: don’t trust a review from a guy who thinks a waitress is rude because she “doesn’t smile”.

Just mediocre, nothing special about it. The other bars on the Ave are much better.

This is a nice American bar. Great beer, good food, excellent service.

Just stopped in to say hi to a friend but I was unprepared for how nice the place is. The staff is great! They've come a long way from the old days when you could try your skill at tossing a quarter into the pickle jar to win a free dog or sausage.

You’d probably get better tips if the service wasn’t awful. Shame because the food and drinks are good, but the service makes it not worth it. Waitress was rude from the beginning when my party was all trying to be friendly and make conversation. Also argued with my friend that champagne and prosecco are the exact same just ‘one is from France’, when in reality they have entirely different processes of being made, resulting in Champagne having a much higher histamine level than Prosecco. Embarrassing to be so confidently wrong as a waitress working at a bar, and continue to argue with someone about their own allergy stating they ‘must have a problem with France’. Don’t work at a college bar then be annoyed when college aged people come in.

A neiborhood icon. Great place for a beer, a bratwurst, and catchnup with friends and family. Place has a homey pub feel. Great food menu and a vast amount of beer and liquor choices. They had me at skinny fries.

Absolutely love it here. I’ve been coming here for around 3 years. Food is great and service is great. Shout out to Anna. She’s pretty much been my server every time I am here. Whether it’s me and a friend or me and a group, her service has been amazing.

Very tasty burger! Cute relaxed location.
