Not offered a second drink or even asked how our meal was. It was just okay

The way this place does their online menu is odd. It closed my tab before I did it myself, while we were still sitting. First showing that it added no tip when doing so, then this morning it looks like they added their own amount to the tip for me instead of letting me do it myself. What is with that? I had planned on tipping, but I find it annoying I wasn’t able to make that decision myself. I don’t recall seeing a “mandatory gratuity” notice anywhere.

Waitress was rude from the gate, like when my friend asked a question about what is on one of their menu items. They don’t come by to check on you to see if you need anything, but they might come by towards the end and say “I’ll take your plate now. 😐”

Maybe if you opt for the traditional menu/ordering from the waitress you might have a better experience, I’m not sure. Probably not, if you get the same, instantly annoyed waitress that we got. Food was decent though.

Came here before a show at Neptune and glad we did! The group I was with was looking for a quick bite and couple drinks before the show. I got the chicken tenders with fries, my wife got the sweet potato fries, and my friend got the sausage gumbo and a soft pretzel. The chicken tenders and fries were really good! I got their hot wing sauce and it was good! Had a nice kick to it. My friend loved his gumbo and the sandwich bread that came with it. The soft pretzel and beer cheese was amazing as well!
Overall, great food. Good beer selection. Holiday cocktails and a 6 minute walk from Neptune theater. l'll definitely be back when I hit up a show in the area

One of the great places to go in the University district if you want to have lunch or dinner with people you care about. It is close and convenient, and the prices are reasonable, and the food is quite good. There's a subtle German charm here that I rather appreciate. I usually have a Philly cheese steak when I order, as I am a aficionado of such, and the ones here are savory, though not of the quality that one has in Philly. There's nothing wrong with this place, and there are a lot of things right about it, and compared to Cafe on the Ave, it is much more of an actual restaurant that a mature adult would willingly want to spend a significant amount of time in. I would not say that it is excellent in either food or atmosphere, but it is very good, and it is reliable. I have come here before, and I will come here again certainly.

Don Grinds all his own sausage and has a variety of great sausage varieties, each delicious in their own right. If you eat 5 or more in one sitting, you get your name on a plaque. DO IT.

Best place on the UDistrict for a very good to great hamburger. And one of the last bar restaurants. Strong recommend.

Emily was a great bartender and gave us great service. I got some bacon cheese tots that had more salt on them than the Atlantic Ocean, maybe try something else other than the terrible food choice I had everything was great.

Surprisingly a decent enough restaurant near by the campus, the food was pretty well cooked and the cocktail was also not bad.

This is a great place to eat or drink some libations on the Ave. The environment is nice and similar to a friendly Irish pub. The service is top notch and the owner may stop by and say hello. The food is also excellent- they have one of the best Prime Rib Dip sandwiches that I have ever tasted. Their thin fries are also generous and taste great!

It was a great little spot to grab lunch on college move-in day! We will be back throughout our daughter's college years there. Looking forward to making more memories at your establishment.
