My partner and I had a great date night out at Single Shot. The food and drinks were delicious, and the overall ambiance very charming with its cozy neighborhood vibe. I wish there had been more vegan options but what I did have was very tasty.
Single Shot has been consistently excellent since it opened. A nice touch are the small lamps you can put on the table to read the menu then move to the back railing for more atmosphere. Come early for a quieter evening, I wish they hadn't turned the music up at 7–too loud and it seems people raised their voices as a result.
Group of five everybody had a different entrée. Everyone is super happy with the food. Very nice ambience in this restaurant Highly recommend
First time here and we had a fantastic experience. We were a group of early diners, which is not typical but were catching a show. We let them know this, so we didn't feel rushed. The space was warm and welcoming, the staff were lovely, and all the dishes we tried were delicious. The gnocchi were homemade, (which can be hard to find in Seattle). The risotto with shrimp had giant prawns on top, lamb ragu had amazing flavors. We look forward to returning!l
Single Shot is a terrific restaurant. Their menus keep getting better and better. While they are still quite high priced for comparable restaurants ($40-60 entrees rather than $30-$40) their portion sizes seem to have gotten larger and the meal felt quite a bit more sumptuous and comforting than before. The flavors were uniformly wonderful and interesting. The service was charming and thoughtful. A really great experience. Highly recommended.
Always a pleasure! Best brunch in Seattle. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, great menu.
Excellent place. The bread was fluffy and the butters were rich and flavorful. The burrata appetizer was delicious. The squid ink risotto with shrimp and the papardelle with lamb were both wonderful; the portions are moderate in size. The lemon tart was exquisite, light and sweet. The drinks were alright.
The service was very attentive. We sat outside on a warm night and the atmosphere was perfect. We spent $180.97 after tax before tip and it was totally worth it.

We enjoyed an exquisite meal of delicious chewy, rosemary bread with salted honey butter or olive oil and a Dungeness crab salad and a king salmon dish that was exquisitely prepared. The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir was a perfect accompaniment for the salmon and the Dungeness crab was enjoyed with a Pilsner that was just right. Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable and kind, and they helped to make the evening a special and beautiful one. We sat outside in late September and it was wonderful. I brought an extra layer (because I always need one) and we sat under beautiful old growth trees, enjoying the last moments of wonderful weather. It was romantic and the food was outstanding and the service was amazing!

We really enjoyed our meal here, it was a lovely date night spot. I'd reccomend getting multiple dishes to share with the table.

Elevated brunch, reasonably priced. I ordered a dauphinoise last time I went and it was excellent.

Restaurant has no AC. it was HOT. Secondly, appetizers were better than entrees. Charred asparagus and bread were the highlights. Everything else was overpriced and underwhelming. Ordered paparadelle - it tasted like it came from a can. Pasta was congealed together. Made with zero love. This place is yet another mediocre restaurant charging exorbitant prices. Will not come back.

At a time where other restaurants are forcing service charges down your throat while offering sub-par service, Single Shot goes above and beyond without expecting more from its clients.
As a self-declared foodie and reformed (decade-long) yelp-elite reviewer, I have seen more than my fair share of restaurants. Many of them are good-enough, a few are quite terrible, and a tiny handful of them are spectacular. Single shot is everything I have hoped for and more.
I've lived in Capitol Hill for well over a decade and have many go-to spots and single shot has shot up my list of favorites. The food is consistently delicious, service is warm and friendly, and the ambiance is top-notch. The inside seating can be a little loud for my tastes, but I'm also sensitive to noise.
So why is single shot so good? Because they have unreasonable hospitality. At least twice now, they have gone well out of their way to make things right for me. I needed to have Tabasco with my loco moco. As a Hawaiian-born, it felt sacrilegious to use Cholula. They ran out to the corner store and bought a bottle when I refused the Cholula. My favorite dish wasn't available because they ran out of an ingredient. My face fell (I may have learned to keep my mouth shut, but my face has closed captions on in bold 24/7.) I ordered something else since I was with a group of friends, but Single Shot ran out to get what they needed so they could make it for me. And that's just for me.
The owner makes friends with the locals and greets them by name and asks about their lives. Servers recognize when people have special needs and does their best to accommodate. People with animals regularly come and hang out with their pups in the outside seating section, and team members regularly attend to the dog's water needs in between rushing around serving food.
I happily come back regularly and bring my friends and will continue to gladly tip for such awesome service. Thank you for being a shining example of what amazing service looks like.
They do get busy, so I highly recommend reservations!
