We tried the Beef Stroganoff and shared it between two people it was filling and good portion. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. I just wish the crust had been a bit crispier, but overall it was really good!
Delicious food.
This was a great spot to stop in for a late breakfast. Each dish was delicious but could have had more spice. The environment was easy and comfortable, reminiscent of a spot in Europe. Would highly recommend stopping here!
Came to Seattle just to try this restaurant. Absolutely fantastic food! The Khachapuri is incredible. Georgian food is some of the best.
We asked the staff member behind the tablet if they could skip the egg on our veggie boat bread . All good, until he asked how we manage to be vegetarians. A bit intrusive, but we let it slide.
Later, I used the restroom and accidentally left the tap slightly running. While we were waiting for our takeout, the same person came up and whispered in my ear to be more mindful. I understand it was my mistake, but the approach felt unnecessarily forward and uncomfortable.
As for the boat bread, it was basic. Nothing that stood out, and certainly not something I’d go out of my way for, especially considering the attitude.
I’m from out of town and was wandering around looking for a unique breakfast option outside of the usual pancakes and eggs and I saw Skalka. The menu was small, but good in the way that you knew everything was going to be handmade and fresh. I got the beef stroganoff kachipuri. It was savory, flavorful, and delicious. I took it to go so I could eat on the pier and the couple next to me said it looked so good they had to ask what it was and where I got it from. After I had the first bite I told them they should go get one too. Then I sent a pic to my husband and told him we’re coming back next time we’re in town in a few months! The only thing I would change is I wish I could have gotten a latte or something to go with it. YUM!
We visited Skalka for the first time after seeing it recommended by ChatGPT, and we’re glad we gave it a try! Located in the heart of Seattle, this cozy spot offers a unique Georgian food experience. We ordered the only vegetarian option available, which was freshly baked and came out piping hot straight from the oven — a really nice touch that added to the overall experience.
The dish itself was warm, comforting, and definitely had that homemade feel. While it was enjoyable, we personally felt that the flavor could be a bit more balanced — maybe a touch more umami or depth would have made it pop even more. That said, it’s a new flavor profile for us, so it was still exciting to try something different.
We’re visiting from Texas, so the prices felt a little steep to us, but it’s probably in line with Seattle standards. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful when explaining the menu.
Overall, we had a positive experience trying something totally new. If you’re curious about Georgian cuisine and appreciate freshly made food, Skalka is worth a visit! Definitely something different from your typical dining spots. Cheers! 🥂
My family and I decided to go for something different and came across Skalka and we loved it. Definitely something different and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend the chicken and beef. Both were really good.

Somewhat limited and basic menu of typical Georgian Khachapuri, very tasty though, with average wait time on weekend afternoon.

Food is pretty amazing at this place. I had stroganoff style hachapuri and it was the best, I loved it. In terms of service though, it looks more like a fast food place with no waiters around except for when they give the food. I didn’t really mind that, because, again, food was amazing and that’s important ??

A very fine khachapuri. Just a dream of freshly made bread with cheese, butter and eggs. It's made to order so it's just so fresh.

The last time I had khachapuri was in Kiev years ago. The one I had here (Adjaruli) was superb. The bread was delicious and the filling, just simple cheese and egg yolk, was perfect for breakfast.
