Today's visit was my first, and I'll be back for sure. Love this place, all around ideal for what I was seeking in a lunch spot to meet a friend: good and honest food at realistic prices, easy parking, no lines to get in, friendly and relaxed service, interesting ambience ... Slim's is truly a treasure and part of (sadly) a dying breed in the overpriced, overhyped Seattle dining scene. Here you can order a lot or a little, alcohol or non, stay awhile or eat and run, and nobody gives you a dirty look or encourages you to leave. I hope this gem sticks around for a long time. Best chili I've ever had! I had the traditional Texas Red chili with "the works" for toppings and it was delicious. They have several variations so I'm excited to go back and try the others too. The staff is very friendly and it's a great, relaxed atmosphere. Also an excellent place to stop for a bite before the airport.

Definitely a dive. 21+ only so you can't bring you kids but the chili is incredible.
Parking: Small parking lot behind the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: No kids allowed. But you can order takeout.
