Get the vinegar and chili oil
Authentic Anhui beef noodles! It was a real gem to find. The flavor is slightly different from what people might find familiar but for those who know it, this place is irreplaceable. Friendly staff as well. Very nostalgic.

Amazing bowl of spicy beef noodles with huge troughs of chili oil you can apply yourself.

I’m amazed by how this place is so underhyped. By far, the best in U district and one of the best in Seattle. Love that they don’t confuse you with choices on the menu and you just can’t go wrong with any of their items.

Food is great. If the busy-ness meter is making you think to go somewhere else, know that it was showing “as busy as it gets” but when I walked in there were zero other people here.

Noodle soups were okay, but meat was tough. Broth is also a bit too oily.

Great food. I ordered the beef rice noodles and my wife got the potato beef noodles. We both loved it. Our son who’s 4 had no issue with the spice level. Good food and good service.

I pass by this charming little shop every day — the Hermès-orange color makes it instantly recognizable. The staff are warm, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable.

Small hole in the wall place. You order on a kiosk and pick up at the counter. Bus your own tables. Was honestly a bit loud.
The food has a really interesting flavor profile. Totally different from other noodle places I’ve tried. I’m guessing this is closer to what you would find in China or something. The broth doesn’t have a strong sweet or MSG taste at all. It’s like a grainy vegetable/beef taste. Pretty interesting.
It’s good, but wasn’t my favorite in the world. And also a bit expensive. But I can respect it. The flavors are unique for sure and every so often can be quite enjoyable.

Fantastic and delicious noodle bowls with noodles, meat, half an egg, and a very small portion of napa cabbage. The beef brisket is excellent.
Tofu skin cold dish was average.
There is no service for dine in here. You order at a tablet or by scanning a QR code at your phone, you have to pick up your order when its number is called, and you have to bus your own table.
Given the lack of service, owners should please remove the tip option from the Chowbus POS system. Fortunately the lowest suggested tip option is not outrageous at 10%.

I really wanted to like this place but it was disappointing on a few different levels. We walk in and right off the bat, all the tables are dirty before sitting down. None of the soups in the kiosk or on the sign have a description for what is in them. You have to go only off of the photo. Which is okay if you know what it is. And maybe this style of soup is familiar to you already. But there were slight variations of each dish in the photos but no description to explain what those differences were. You can remove cilantro and some other garnishes/toppings, but you won't know what exactly is in your food unless you can decipher everything in the picture. This is very bad for people with food sensitivities, allergies, or dietary restrictions. The staff was in the kitchen the entire time so there was no one to ask questions.
When we got our food, the spoons were missing and there were none in the utensil zone. The noodles tasted good but have a default level of spice at medium. There was no way to customize spice level when ordering. You can add chili oil afterwards to make it spicier but there wasn't a way to order items less spicy. As someone with IBS, this is a bummer. A few hours later I had major indigestion. At the end of our meal, we brought our bowls up to the bus station, which was overflowing with dishes and about to fall over. It was hard to get the attention of any staff to get a to-go container as well.
I think a lot of this would be passable if the noodles were cheap. There's nothing wrong with a hole in the wall restaurant with no frills and a small menu done well. But the food was not affordable and to pay $20 for a meal in a dirty dining area with no service wasn't great.

I stopped by this noodle house and it did not disappoint! I had the beef braised noodles and they were absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I tried a few other items as well and honestly, everything was spot on. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and you can tell they put a lot of care into their food. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

Great flavors and generous servings + lots of meat. A little expensive for a bowl of noodles imo but makes sense for the area. Will definitely be back!
