Went out my way to go to the place and they were closed although the website says they should have been open. It was on a Saturday. There was some note on door stating they were closed but why should one have to drive there to know that. I was so mad because it was hot as heck outside. I lived in Auburn was coming from a funeral and had a taste for some soul food that I was unable to quench unfortunately. I'm hoping one day I can try but not chancing driving there again just for them to be closed. Not with these gas prices.

The food is incredible! I was raised in South Carolina and have strong opinions about how grits should be cooked. The cheesy grits are on point. The hush puppies are the perfect texture and full of flavor. Yesterday I ordered the oysters and was thrilled with the generous amount I received. The catfish is perfectly seasoned and fried to that lovely crisp but not crunchy stage. There is no seating, so you order from their website and park at the side of the building. They run it out to your car. We have ordered 3 times now and it's been excellent every time. I can't recommend them enough
Food is great. I just don’t understand why it says they are open but when you order online thru DoorDash it says they are closed. But there are other delivery options that are also open but sometimes the restaurant will say it’s open then delivery options say it’s closed.

The food I received was not worth the price. Nothing seemed freshly made, especially the fries and hush puppies. But the food was serviceable because I was hungry. I ordered a sweet tea and received a can. Was not expecting that for a place that calls itself “Soul.”
