The space here is absolutely beautiful and has such a high-end feel, but I’ve noticed the atmosphere could be a bit warmer. The staff seem very reserved—no greetings, smiles, or engagement—and it leaves me feeling a little uncomfortable like I’m doing something wrong just by being there. A little more friendliness and approachability would match the environment and elevate the overall experience!

Best espresso I've ever been served in America and only matched by what I've had in Hong Kong. I tried two espressos, one bean that I brew and order regularly (at home and at local shops, respectively) and another with which I was unfamiliar. The one I'm familiar with tasted better than ever; it was balanced and had more acidity than I'm used to (in a good way). The one I'd never had was also fantastically fruity, balanced, and enjoyable.

The barista was fantastic, knowledgable, and friendly. He made recommendations, showed a deep knowledge of farms, processes, roasting, and even gave me tips for how to improve my extractions at home. It was fun to learn so much from him in such a short amount of time.

Finally, this shop's beans and equipment for sale are top notch. They offer beans that are "all the rage" online and I feel fortunate to have a local shop that carries European coffee roasters.

I look forward to going back!

I’m not much of a coffee person (usually too bitter and makes me jittery) but I was visiting as tourist in Seattle and figured I should sample some coffee. I ordered a cardamom latte and it was amazing! Best coffee I’ve ever ordered, absolutely wonderful and delicious :) If I lived in Seattle I’d become a coffee person if only for Sound & Fog.

I’ve been going here for years. It’s one of the only places that it makes an actual real milkshake, espresso milkshake, and they are so nice and the food is good and the coffees excellent..

We had a comfortable experience at Sound & Fog! The cortado was very delicious, and the alternative milks were high quality, like Oatly and Pacific brand. There is no WiFi, but I got to sit and visit with a friend. The interior is nice and relaxed. The service was also friendly.

100% top 3 best coffee spots in all of Seattle. The coffee is excellent, and the rotating roasters they bring in are truly special + unique. The team is so friendly and kind, and the beautifully designed interior is great for hanging with a friend, reading a book or just sitting alone with your coffee + snack! Absolutely blessed to have it in West Seattle!

Drinks were good, but I have to remove 2 stars due to there being no accessible internet whatsoever. No WiFi and zero cellphone service. If you come alone without a book, there’s not much else to do but finish your coffee while staring at the ceiling.

Incredibly phenomenal coffee spot! All of the staff are extremely friendly, enthusiastic and absolute masters of their craft. It's a coffee shop that focuses on the coffee and has some extremely unique blends. They also offer a small but extremely well curated selection of wine and beer which is a nice twist. Love starting my day here and visiting for an afternoon pick me up.

The coffee is average, but what’s even worse is that they don’t even have WiFi, the cafe is basically empty, even the music is depressing, for sure not a vibe.
