The eggplant in garlic sauce was delicious! The people were super nice and let me eat my takeout order at an empty table.

Food is fantastic but they did not update their hours during the temporary closure. We walked all the way out just to be disappointed. We will return when they are open.

I wasn't impressed unfortunately. We got soup that was cold and items that were Luke warm. Staff was nice but the food came out extremely fast. Don't get me wrong that's great but if it comes out that fast it should be hot. Along with this we both got food poisoning. So it was very disappointing.

This place is awesome and flies under the radar for a lot of folks. My favorite chicken wings in Seattle are here. They also offer a wide array of very interesting Szechuan items. We got the whole roasted fish and loved it. Looking forward to our next visit!

Really good! Group of 4 people, shared a ton of stuff, everyone loved everything. Went on recommendation of another group of friends. Handful of great vegan options make it worthwhile for the veggies too.

The owner was super helpful and nice. Need more restaurants like this. First time here and he was super helpful and gave amazing suggestions! I had the hot and sour soup which was delicious. The General Tao chicken which was packed amazing because I got it to go. They put the sauce on the side in order to keep the chicken crispy. Lastly I got the chicken lo mein which was also very well made.

This place was just a little away from the main businesses but worth it to go there. I read a post somewhere about it and decided to give it a try. Everything was prepared well. It looked good and tasted as good as it looked.

Not very good. For a place called Spice Up, the Kung Pao chicken was awfully mild. Little too sweet, not at all spicy. Lots of meat, but low flavor for everything else.

A little slice of the International District in Belltown! We had a lunch for a party of 5 and sat at one of the lazy Suzan round tables. Food was amazing- the ginger scallion crab was a highlight and so was the Fish boiled in chili sauce. Not too spicy but the perfect balance of flavors. The owner was amazing, came over and told us his story. Just a fantastic experience overall. We will be back.

My sister and I are obsessed with Szechuan cuisine! Two years ago we tried Spice Up and it is now our go to for their chong qing deep fried chicken. The dry fried green beans and hot & sour soup are a must too! The owner, David and the rest of the employees are so nice and give awesome service. They even box the food for you which I always appreciate. We will always go to them when we’re in need of comfort food!!

This is the taste of Seattle. Being a New Orleans native and a food critic, I started to lose hope on finding something good to eat.Well, SpiceUp Szechuan Cuisine gave me the satisfaction I have been searching for in the 2+ months I've been here. I'm certain that I will find other good eats in the PNW but right now, SpiceUp is the best I've had.During my expeditions of critiquing restaurants, I almost NEVER clean my plate. However, the food was so good that I just couldn't stop putting the form to my mouth. The service was excellent and expeditious, the atmosphere felt very homely, and the food was fantastic.David I appreciate your dedication to serving really good food and you will definitely see me again.JonathanDid you dine in, take out, or get delivery?

Food is ok. Decent American Chinese but I wouldn't call it sichuan. There is a young guy there who repeatedly brought us vinegar with gnats in it. He brought it twice. Now I get it - gnats are attracted to vinegar but gosh. The 3 stars is really for the service from the lady who helped us. She was very nice. But not sure we'd return.

I’ve been dining here regularly for the last two years. The first time I tried their food, I went back four days in a row. My favorites are mapo tofu, boiled fish in hot chili oil, Szechuan beef noodle soup, and honey walnut prawns. Spice Up NEVER disappoints. David, the owner, is one of the sweetest man I’ve met - he is like an uncle everyone needs. I’ve brought so many of my friends and family here and they all love it as well. I will be a regular customer as long as this place is open.
