Some of the best fish and chips in the city. The batter (vegan surprisingly; at Greenlake) is a wonderful thin crispy coating, not the beer batter type. The fish is hand cut, flaky and moist. The tartar sauce is the savory type, no sweet pickle here. What tartar sauce is supposed to be!

I stopped by Spuds Fish and Chips and tried their regular fish and chips — just got one piece since it’s the perfect portion for one person. The fish was surprisingly good: moist on the inside with a perfectly crispy batter on the outside. The fries were also on point, well-seasoned and not greasy at all, which is rare for a place serving fried food.

The staff were super courteous and helped guide me through the menu since it was my first time there. Service was quick and friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

And honestly, the view of Green Lake from the shop adds a whole extra charm to the visit. Great food, great service, and great vibes. Definitely a must-recommend seafood spot!

Delicious and quick, this family owned fish and chips place is the best!
Texture of their breading is crisp, and doesn't flake off like many other places' fried goods do. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is very welcoming. Fantastic fries! Comforting chowder! And oh my goodness the milkshakes!!!
I recommend as a spot to frequent♡

I’ve been here before and the food is ok, but every time I come here I’m stunned at how high the prices are. I get that the business needs to pay Seattle rent and pay staff and pay for ingredients and so on, but there is no way a simple meal of fish and chips should cost this much in a town right next to the ocean :/

If your visiting Green lake and get hungry this is the spot to go, with your furry friend. Spuds got you in mind, a perfect outside seating area your pets will love. Dogs can get a cool drink of water and won't get bored with activity right across the street to watch while you enjoy good conversation or just watch the sunset with a cold beer. The workers are always friendly with big smiles and make sure the customer experience is five star. Family friendly for sure good 💯 . Always very clean top choice.

Spuds in Greenlake never disappoints! Their halibut fish and tartar sauce are absolutely awesome—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. We paired ours with their classic milkshakes for a perfect touch of nostalgia. It was the ideal low-key and delicious way to celebrate my son’s birthday at home. Simple, satisfying, and quintessentially Seattle —friendly, and family owned and operated. We’ll be back!

Delicious fish and chips. Top notch. Crispy and flavorful.

The staff is even better. The hostess greats you, explains the menu. She even brought us extra fish because our pieces were smaller (she claimed, not too small for us!).

Would recommend. Food is great. Staff is great. Overall good experience.

My partner and I shared one piece of fish and fries. The fish was tasty and crispy. I thought the fries were okay. Overall would come again.

Food was decent but honestly couldn’t even focus on that because of the experience we had at the counter. The little man taking our order was beyond rude and short with us and caught both my sister and I off guard completely. Nobody is saying you have to be friendly but don’t be an ass. For what you’re paying you should be getting decent service at the very least. There’s plenty of other businesses in the area I’d much rather give my money to.
