i strolled in last night famished and eager to finish my book lonesome at the corner bar… i ordered my typical fernet and coke with a side of COCHINITA PIBIL!? The pikliz, well seasoned, hearty, juicy pulled pork between a ciabatta bun distracted me from my intended reading. Good god, the music was an eclectic blend of bluesy jam and jazz. The atmosphere is cozy and dimly lit enough to sit in a corner and romanticize the present moment between pages.
Whoever is behind this recipe deserves the praise for having blended that jalapeño mayo and pikliz so well.
Standard is becoming a favorite, their specials has impressed as of late.

I and my partner ordered one drink. A long island then after when we asked for a shot to go we were denied. We weren't slurring our words. We didn't even have an open tab. We were just having a night out. I will not be going back here again.

The outdoor patio is a friendly spot to hang out in the afternoon or evening especially during the summer when the weather is at its best. If you’re a tourist and want to experience a local neighborhood hangout, here’s your chance. Also, pet friendly.

Pretentious vibe, was raining and empty but they wouldn't let us leave our bikes on the patio. Also don't allow tasting the beers and I didn't like the one I ended up getting 🙄
I came in to kill an hour or two at 2 pm on 11/27 and when I asked for a taste of one I was told “we don’t do tastes, we do 5 oz pours for $3 if you don’t wanna commit to one”….poppycock. I’m never coming back here and actively going to steer people away. What bar, let alone brew house doesn’t do taste pours? It’s like half an oz…

I heard the jojos were great but they refused to let me order them because they only serve them if you order one of their two sandwiches, neither of which I wanted. The taco that I did get tasted like they forgot to add salt

This place is so great. You have to try the veggie taco. It’s the best in the city. It also offers a full bar. Just know kids and dogs aren’t allowed.
