We've been coming to Staple and Fancy for years and generally enjoy it, but wow is it getting expensive. The quality of the food and drinks hasn't increased with the prices, to the point where it now feels like you can get food as good elsewhere for half the price.
We were in Seattle for the holidays and our dinner at Staple & Fancy was a big highlight! I have to say that my Coulotte steak was the best I've ever had. The chef (Ricky) on the grill was hustling all night, but took a moment to come to our table so we could thank him in person. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Bravo!
We were in recently for a private party in their cellar which was awesome, but we also love this cozy spot in Ballard for a quick bite or a fancy dinner! The wine pairings are thoughtful and compliment the delicious food perfectly. Service is friendly and on point
