Star Sushi & Bar in Seattle is a hidden gem! The rolls are creative and fresh (loved the Cherry Blossom Roll), and the short ribs were tender and flavorful with a perfect balance of sauce and veggies. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and definitely worth a visit.

I ordered dinner to go last night, and was very disappointed in not only the service but the food as well. I had to wait an hour for the food, even though I was informed it would take 30 minutes. I had to wait another 30 minutes at the restaurant. I mentioned it to a server, who was very nice and helpful. I kept getting all sorts of excuses why it wasn’t ready. It turns out no one turned in a ticket for my order. Then when my husband and I went to eat it, the gyoza was burnt, the miso soup had no tofu nor greens in it. The rice was about burnt and gummy; it was in clumps. And on top of all that, they left the roe off the sushi. We could tell the meal had been prepared in a hurry because it was already 30 minutes late. They did comp an order of edamame, which we appreciated. It was so disappointing as we’ve eaten here before, and the food and service has always been good. I will never order online again; I did it because I wanted to save time. Unfortunately, the entire experience was awful.

Came here for a date night for the first time and this place was great. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Our waiter, Miles, saw I was looking for something spicy and recommended the Hamachi Lover -- he was right on target. The nigiri flight was excellent as well. Everything we asked for was provided quickly and with a smile.

Omg so good ! I’m really picky, that sashimi was very very fresh, like a higher end Omakase restaurant fresh. And the tempura was so crispy and the perfect temperature, I’m definitely coming back again. It was a nice end of the day dinner for myself. Sorry for the grammar errors. I’m using speech to text.

Absolutely love this place. My partner and I come here somewhat frequently for some quality vegetarian rolls from KJ when they have the time and they're phenomenal every single time. Great staff, quality food.

The sashimi and blue fin tuna flights from the starters were delicious. The miso was super salty and needed bean paste in my opinion. Veggie tempura was good. Had a Kamikazi and Hamachi Lover roll ... both excellent. Had hot ginger lemon tea and water as drinks. Our server was just awful. Didn't come back to refill our drinks - we had to ask the other waiters around. Had to ask the food delivery girl to take our used dishes. The restaurant was not that full and no large groups were seated indoors or outdoors so im not sure what the bad service was about. Id love to go back for the food but it's quite a walk for bad service. I'll look closer to Chinatown.

Absolutely amazing! We chose Star Sushi & Bar for a celebratory dinner and it was wonderful!! Turned out to be Happy Hour menu from 4-9pm and not to mention the wonderful drinks and mocktails,.even if it wasn’t Happy Hour menu availability, everything was more than worth the cost. The sushi chef even made a special side dish that was greatly appreciated! This is now our new go to sushi spot!

Delighted to find this spot. The fish was absolutely top notch. Hamachi was some of the best fish we've ever had. The grilled edamame is well worth a little extra wait. Excellent vibe, excellent service, excellent food. The music was just the right level that you could comfortably talk at your own table without being able to clearly hear what everyone around you was saying. Got too busy eating to take pictures lol.
