TL;DR: Bought a bag of beans from another Starbucks on 2/9/2025, but their grinder was broken. Took it to this location at 5:05PM to get it ground—something I’ve done elsewhere without issue. The barista Marc refused and illegally confiscated my beans, demanding a receipt despite no proof they were unpaid. Went home, got proof, and returned just to reclaim my own purchase. No apology, just attitude. This could be a wrongful deprivation of property and a violation of consumer rights. If this happens to anyone else, report it to Starbucks corporate and consider filing a complaint with a consumer protection agency for unfair business practices.

I’ve always enjoyed Starbucks’ service and never had an issue getting my beans ground at any location—until I came here. I had purchased a bag of beans from another Starbucks near Costco but couldn’t get them ground there because their grinder was broken. Later, my partner brought them to this location to be ground while I was organizing groceries.

That’s when things took a bizarre turn. The barista, Marc, refused to grind the beans without a receipt. That was already frustrating, since no other Starbucks has ever required one. But what made it worse? He refused to return the beans to us, essentially confiscating a product we had already paid for. If Starbucks isn’t sure whether a product is unpaid, that responsibility is on them to check security footage—not to hold onto a customer’s property without proof.

We had to go all the way home to get the receipt and come back, wasting time over something that should have never happened. And even after proving our purchase, there was no apology—just an attitude that made it clear they didn’t care.

I’ve never experienced this level of laziness and poor judgment at a Starbucks before. This could be a wrongful deprivation of property and a violation of consumer rights. I will be reporting it to Starbucks corporate and consider filing a complaint with a consumer protection agency for unfair business practices.

Save your self the extra long wait time and head to the store on Terry Ave. Very rarely do I go to this Starbucks do to the excessive wait times and orders being made incorrectly. However it was raining this morning, and decided to go to the closer Starbucks. What a mistake, there was one order in front of me, including mobile as that is how many drinks she made, in a 12 minute span of time. I had already received my sandwich and was patiently waiting when two gentleman asked the barista if there togo order was ready as it had been sitting on the counter behind for some time. The barista pulled my shots of espresso when the two men asked her a question. She then proceeded to sticker there bag and ask them to confirm that the order was theres by looking at the app. This took a moment, as the men did not have their phone out. This interaction was approximately a minute and half to 2 minutes long. She then went back and poured my now black shots into my drink. as i was sitting at the bar, i could see everything and said "ma'am can you please dump those shots and pur me fresh? without hesitation she looked at me and said "No". I was honestly shocked! I responded and said, Those shots are expired, can you please pull new ones, she again said we don't do that. As a former employee for 8 years, opening my own coffee shop and being a barista over the last 15+ off and on. I said i just paid over $10.00 for my drink and your refusing to make my drink again? she said, yes im not remaking it. I asked for the manager, at this time the manager on duty came over and made a comment about communication and that the shots still have just as much caffeine because the sequence of the shot. I let her know, know i could careless about the caffeine levels as I do about the taste of my coffee. She made my drink over, and the entire time the manager and barista where talking about how I was incorrect. When the manager came back over she asked me to next time get up and go to the order counter as she felt my tone was aggressive. Again, completely in shock, as my tone was not aggressive and i simply asked nicely for my drink to get re-made. If she felt i was aggressive, it was probably when I spoke up and asked for the manager. The manager re-made my drink and of course it taste like crap. Such a wonderful day to start my day! The lack of customer service, on top of a poorly made cup of coffee and now 30 Minutes later, I ended up walking to the store on Terry Ave and has a wonderful experience and my drink tasted wonderful!

Had a mobile order (supposed to be ready in 8 mins per app) and 30 mins in, coffee was still not ready. Went to the ordering station to confirm and it doesn’t look like they had my order. Location in the app was accurate. They had to manually put in my order. Spent my entire break waiting for coffee. Really frustrating.

I had a very strange interaction. I walked into a Starbucks to take advantage of a three dollar coupon. I could not find the information I was looking for, and so when I asked the barista if my drink qualified, she said yes. That turned out to be false, and ended up being charged a little bit more than I was prepared for. (Mind you there was a very specific reason why I was asking, and the proper information could have impacted my ability to pay.) This wasn’t an issue until the customer behind me said something to me in a rude way that triggered me, thus creating a spiral. The manager got so defensive that he couldn’t calm himself down enough to listen to me, even though I repeatedly tried to say I wanted to apologize. He basically told me, doesn’t care what I have to say, he’s trying to protect his employees, it is a business, and he doesn’t have to put up with it. The only helpful information he gave me was that it was the cashiers second day, which was all the more reason to communicate what happened. But I never got the chance to…moral of the story…go in the morning, WAY better service!

I was having coffee with my family and they closed the bathroom because it had already been cleaned, which is understandable, but when they finished I went and the bathroom was still closed. I asked and the staff rudely told me to wait 20 more minutes. They didn't explain why and told me to go to a restaurant down the street because they had a public bathroom!

I recently visited Starbucks and was disappointed with the service. The employee who took my order was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in helping me. It made the experience feel rushed and impersonal. I hope this was just an off day, as I usually enjoy the friendly atmosphere at Starbucks.
