We spent the first night of our honey moon at Hotel Sorrento and enjoyed the San Valentino dinner on Valentine's day at Stella. What a beautiful experience! We savored each amazing dish- from the Oyster with honeydew and salmon roe to the amazing risotto and beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce. We were attended by a very warm hearted server whose name I can't remember! We are going to try and make a visit to Stella part of our anniversary tradition.
We had such a great time at The Sorrento. Benjamin took great care of us, and the live pianist was unexpected but so magical. A perfect Valentine's Day dinner!! Would highly recommend.
Server was great. Exceptional actually. Food was not outstanding but edible. Duck Ragusa was good. But everything else was like a dinner at a convention. Room temperature food and bland. Oyster was good too.
Excellent food and experience overall, but the fixed price Valentine's dinner at $200 per head, mandatory 20% service fee, and extra tip made this only a fair value relative to similarly priced meals I have had elsewhere in the past.
We did the Valentines chef course menu. It was alright; the vibe was nice and romantic. The food was alright; lobster medallions were pretty rough and then the risotto had a funky after taste. We've done a handful of chefs course taste menus and this one was definitely not worth it. Our server was great and friendly though.
The food was marvelous, but the service was suffered from a very slow kitchen, and it seems our order had been lost. Worse, restaurant management didn't tell us or explain why things were late, until we asked. They also didn't offer to do anything to make it right. Staff was very friendly, but that didn't make up for how long it took our food to arrive. People who arrived after us were served before us.
There was supposed to be live music on Friday nights and I booked a reservation specifically for that reason. There was no live music and when I asked I was told that there usually is but just not on that particular Friday. I didn't see this noted anywhere, there was no calendar or schedule to check. I would have rescheduled had I known. Otherwise the restaurant was quiet, the food was good.
We had a wonderful evening. Thank you for the excellent and friendly service by Joshua P. in the bar, and also by Lydia S. in the dining room.
Kitchen took a long time to bring our food out, didn't even get our main course an hour later. Ended up comping our drinks. Great ambience probably will stick to only drinks next time
Lovely room. Nice menu. Food was good, but not amazing. Service good. For the price I'd like to be able to use more superlatives, but I can't.

Great, classic Seattle dining experience. Both my guest and I were delighted with our meals (beet salad, caesar sald, pork chop, boar ragu) cocktails, and friendly, discreet service. We ate in the bar, fireside room was rather full, and greatly enjoyed the pristine marble tables, the comfortable beautiful seating and brightly polished woodwork. A true gem of a restaurant in Seattle's stunning iconic hotel. Thank you all.
We had the BEST time last night for Thanksgiving -the food was just absolutely delicious! We had a wine pairing with every course. The service was top notch. It was cozy, festive and beautiful in every way. What a night to remember... the nice staff made it extra special. Thank you, Stella and The Sorrento Hotel!
I was disappointed in the room we had at Stella's. There were some tables that had sweet little winter bouquets with fresh flowers but our table had fake flowers that weren't even nice. The lighting was way too bright as well. I would also suggest some cushions for the tables with the benches...a person sits too low at the table. The food was delicious but that's just part of the dining experience. I don't know that we would book again for a holiday.
Our dinner was first rate: rack of lamb, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. All most delicious. Friendly service as always.
the bar is a cozy spot for a light dinner before an event, or just to sit and relax. Our waiter was superb.
